Taxi - Louie pushes a lady in a wheelchair (who he think's is faking a disability) towards stairs and they listen as she goes down 3-4 flights of stairs.
MASH - Radar is showing a magic trick to Frank Burns, takes his valuable watch and puts it in a handkerchief. Frank grabs the handkerchief with the watch in it, says he's knows the trick, takes a hammer and smashes the handkerchief and watch. He DIDN'T know the trick, and the look of shock on Radar's face as the watch gets smashed is priceless.
Ross was a whiney bitch a lot of the times but at his peak he is comedic gold
My favorite friends moment was when Joey and Chandler find the tape labeled Monica in Richards apartment and Joeys like Wait this says Monica....and this is Richards apartment...
I love when Larry pretends to be a gentile, or when Larry thought he was a gentile, but the scene that sticks out is when Larry finds out his mom has died. It should be a dark moment but it so uncomfortable it's funny. "Your other said not to call you." Curb Your Enthusiasm - Larry gets bad news - ( New Window )
is from the Seinfeld episode where George is a "Marine Biologist." That scene at the diner where he describes the beached whale and pulls the titleist from his jacket is television gold.
An excellent modern comedy is the show 'The Middle' doesn't seem to get a lot of attention. It's got great characters and has very creative writing... If you get the chance, check out this show.
Reverand Jim's driving test (Taxi)
Lucy and Ethel in the chocolate factory (I Love Lucy)
Vitameatavegamin (I Love Lucy)
Sammy Davis Jr. kissing Archie (All in the Family)
The pilot episode on the Cosby Show
"Theo... that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life! No wonder you get D's in everything! You're afraid to try because you're afraid your brain is going to explode and it's going to ooze out of your ears. Now I'm telling you, you are going to try as hard as you can. And you're going to do it because I said so. I am your father. I brought you into this world, and I'll take you out!
Cool cousin to have. I missed that episode too when it first aired. I don't recall how I came to see it, but I just about pee'd myself laughing at everything Tom Hanks did, and Christopher Lloyd's reaction to eating a hash brownie. Just hilarious.
on Taxi, when Nardo caught Louie peeking into the changing room, and she was ready to get him fired. To show Nardo that he understood how violated she felt, Louie told her a story about him having to buy suits in the boy's section of stores and how embarrassing it was for him. Nardo gives him a sympathetic hug, at which point Louie grabs her ass.
Not a sit-com, but the Tim Conway dentist scene on Carol Burnett was hysterical, as much for Harvey Korman's reactions as Tim's.
favorite episode might be Krazy Eyez Killa from season 3. I forgot most of the lines from that episode, but just remember it being an all time classic.
Another good one of late was the Palestinian chicken from the last season. "F the Hamas out of me"....having to defend going there as a Jew...
Season one, one of the first episodes with the bunched up pants (I think it might have even been the pilot)....and the chick at the said "That's not bunched up pants, that's your f*** d***!" is gold.
Plenty more. I loved Seinfeld when it first aired, but I get the feeling Curb will age better.
All In the Family when Archie clarifies the difference between a queer and a four eyes.....too funny!
I came across an old Diff'rent Strokes episode flipping channels awhile ago. I grew up watching this as a kid. Totally camp show looking back on it, but man were there some extremely intense "very special episodes".
The episode I saw was the one where Arnold and Kimberly hitchhiked to that creepy guy's apartment then got locked in. The look on that guy's face as he's about to put duct tape on Arnold's mouth, the zoom in, the silence......hysterical.
Martin Lawrence show- Auditioning for Biggie Smalls Â
reminded me of the diversity training scene in the Office. Stanley has the label "Black" on his forehead and Pam has "Jewish" and Michael is encouraging them to use stereotypes about each other.
"Olympics of suffering right here, slavery versus the holocaust"
Reading it obviously doesn't make it seem funny, but the clip (linked above) was hilarious.
that wasn't a scene, that was the entire series

"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly"

I could keep going all day with Seinfeld there are so many classic moments
