NFT: Poor Selfie timing leads to being kicked in the head

BigBlueCane : 4/17/2014 4:06 pm
Because it's just so obvious.

Quote:
The camera-loving man who got the boot while taking a selfie too close to a train is speaking out.

Jarad Frank, a tourist from Regina, Canada, says he was traveling with a friend in Peru when he got the smart idea to take a picture with a freight train.

He has no qualms about admitting that it may not have been the best idea.

The video at link is must see however.

No harm, no foul?

He may have had his foot out to kick him away. How is the conductor supposed to know WTF the guy is doing so close to the train. I have no issue with what was done.
If you're standing close enough to a passing train where the conductor

can kick you in the head, maybe you should move a little further away.

Common sense doesnt apply to all.
Why kick him in the head though?
Sneakers O'toole : 4/17/2014 4:29 pm : link
How does that help him? If anything, it probably put him in more danger.
I saw this earluier

The kick to the head saves him from jagged metal thing sticking out of the train to the head.
Did it?
Sneakers O'toole : 4/17/2014 4:32 pm : link
I was just wondering.

Why NOT

kick him in the head?
Well
Sneakers O'toole : 4/17/2014 4:42 pm : link
if you kick him in the head and that causes him injury both you and your company are liable, no matter how stupid the kid is for standing that close to the tracks. Kicking him isn't smart, either. Although there may be some question there, as the poster above says it actually may have saved the moron from injury. That changes things.

More people should be kicked in the head.

.
No real argument there
Sneakers O'toole : 4/17/2014 4:43 pm : link
if I kicked all the people in the head that I'd like to, I'd have no time for anything else in life.

Lawsuit?

The guy was riding on the front of a cargo train in Peru...you think he gives a damn about lawsuits?
It was speculated the driver was trying to protect him

I don't think that's a guy "riding" on the train. I think it's an employee, perhaps the conductor, operating the train.
either way
Blue Baller : 4/17/2014 5:02 pm : link
I'm not an expert on the legal system in Peru, but I highly doubt lawsuits are a concern

he would not have been hit by the train he was far enough away
Tuckrule : 4/17/2014 6:03 pm : link
however, he deserved to be kicked in the head for being within "kicking" range
That's an excellent photo

Is Peru playing Canada in any sport soon?
It's an awesome gif

How about this very lucky(and stupid)young lady...

If you are able to be kicked in the head from any moving vehicle
djm : 4/17/2014 10:19 pm : link
Then you probably should be kicked in the head. The kicker was doing the lord's work.
He didn't even kick him.
LS : 4/18/2014 9:27 am : link
His foot was against the train for protection from it.

Exactly. The conductor never winds up and to kick and is screaming as the train goes by in attempt to warn the kid. This video could've easily been this kid's final moments.
