Yet, on Tuesday morning, Iran had an unlikely visitor: a plane, owned by the Bank of Utah, a community bank in Ogden that has 13 branches throughout the state. Bearing a small American flag on its tail, the aircraft was parked in a highly visible section of Mehrabad Airport in Tehran.
But from there, the story surrounding the plane, and why it was in Iran — where all but a few United States and European business activities are prohibited — grows more mysterious.

Isn't there a big IRS office there as well? Maybe the Ayatolla applied for 501(c)(4) status.
We'd have to throw in some expiring contracts.
But here's the best part of the story, lol. It's 1975, after graduating dental school I'm in a 2 year post-grad program at NYU. My best friend in the class is an Iranian Muslim. He was a supporter of the Shah. He tells me I should come to Iran with him after graduation. They have a large American community and I can make $10K a month and pay zero taxes. I'd have servants and live like royalty. I actually considered doing it until my wife slapped me upside the head. Best decision I didn't make. A couple years later, the revolution.
