hutch33 : 1:28 am
my 2014 nyg 4 round mock
1. te-eric ebron missing piece on offense, eli needs a weapon.

2.guard- xavier su'a-filo- quick on his feet and can handle any move , plug him beside pugh and lets roll

3. dt-dominique easely - easy pick with joseph gone we need a dt, has experince inside and outside.

4. rb dri archer
who really know wilson future, dri is a lightning bolt, kr/pr , screen pass, would be a nice compliment to jennings.

5. wr jeff janis- a d2 wr who has the speed and hands and records to easily be a 4th in the nfl. (great value )
and he has a 6 pick- j/k

6. 0g/ot brandon thomas, he visited giants , was suppose to be 1st rounder...could let him heal and have a future star.
An OL is the missing piece on
Phil in LA : 1:31 am : link
offense. I think some of the others are wishful thinking by round.
We need more OL in a deep OL draft
SGMen : 2:02 am : link
DT Easely could be taken though.
.

I don't believe a TE in round one is a good pick but atleast
wgenesis123 : 4:54 am : link
he may be on the board when the Giants pick.
the Giants have 2 picks in the 5th round
....just saying
A good OLine will make an average TE look very good
JohnB : 8:36 am : link
but a good TE isn't going to make an average OL look very good.

Fix the Oline first.
your best pick is

Janis
Nice post, thanks
I see us taking Martin in Round One, and a guard in Rounds One or Two regardless. You simply can't count on Chris Snee. If he can't go or be effective, you have a huge hole at guard.
I doubt anyone
pjcas18 : 8:56 am : link
knows the positions the Giants are drafting TODAY.

It will depend how the draft falls, but I can almost guarantee you this, Reese is not thinking I need to go OL in round x and/or round x.

And if zero OL are drafted this could still be an excellent draft and the team better in '14 and beyond.

The real keys to the line, as Reese has already said for 2014 are on the roster already.
I don't think Su'a-Filo gets out of the 1st round, but if so
yatqb : 9:06 am : link
he won't make 43. I'd LOVE to land him, though.
Throw the remote

If Eric Ebron is taken in the 1st
I like your Thomas pick
KeoweeFan : 9:48 am : link
He was flying under the radar BEFORE he injured himself in a recent workout. He wasn't flashy, but as some analysts have pointed out, he always got the job done (e.g. against Clowney). He is very smart, high character guy and a leader.
A lower round OL would sit for a year anyway. Brandon would be one of your "safe picks" who could turn out to be a lunch pail guy for years to come.
If I were Jerry I'd risk one of our 5th round picks on him and use him as our steal for 2014.
Sounds good...

Im good with Ebron, Martin or Donald at this point.
Just

finished watching the entire Notre Dame vs Stanford link above. Martin is very impressive. It's a good watch.

mosley played pretty well at right guard when he played vs Detroit. He is insurance for snee
id be ok with
CGiants07 : 11:55 am : link
Donald or Martin at 12. Others id be ok with but would prefer trade down first: barr, ebron, beckum jr or marquis lee

Paulie Walnuts : 12:03 pm : link

Martin or Tuitt, 2nd rd Nikalas

No, Yes, Maybe, No, Yes, Maybe, in that order.
Though I want OL in 1st and 4th,WR @2, DT @3.
Thought you'd get hammered
jLefty : 3:57 pm : link
for Ebron number one. They cut you some slack.I agree with your #1 choice.Think it could be the key to Eli's improvement.Get a lineman to block in two.
I like Ebron too
nedhiggins : 9:13 pm : link
but from the mocks i've been reading, that guard from UCLA in round 2 seems like a pipe dream. reality is won't be able to fill all the holes in the draft. TE is a huge one and with new OC liking the TE far more than gilbride i could see it. that being said, I think Aaron Donald is Geno Atkins part 2, total game changer on the O-line. Ebron is a good prospect, but most of the recent 1st round TE's have been so-so. Pettigrew, Jermaine Gresham, Eifert, etc.
The Giants failed to make the playoffs last year because Reese
GeofromNJ : 10:46 pm : link
failed to resign Martellus Bennett. With Bennett on the roster, the Giants win the division. As Gilbride said of Myers recently, "His lone talent was to find a hole in the zone and sit down." He had no ability to separate, fight for the ball, block on run plays, or protect the quarterback. If Evans is gone and Ebron is available, Reese will take him.
Martellus, was a mid range performer, Ebron lacks blocking skills.
G-Men43 : 4/20/2014 3:30 am : link
Existing interior lineman, on paper, mid range talent, poor mans depth caliber athletes. If OLT and starting caliber G, are not added before the starts, its gonna be a long disappointing season.

Macado had best have a dink and dunk game plan implemented and successively executing it by season kickoff, then and maybe, Reese and some scouts and talent evaluators will not be tarred, feathered, then rode out of town on a rail.
