Who are some guys in previous drafts that you thought were going to be studs that you just knew the Giants would be crazy not to pick. But when it was all said and done the guy turned out to be a huge bust. Let's stick with 1st,2nd and 3rd round guys. To me any thing after the 3rd round should not be considered a bust.
My can't miss stud was Rolando McClain, I was furious when the Raiders took him at #8.I just knew this guy was the answer to our LBer problems. It would have been interesting to see what the Giants would have done if he was there when we picked. I think it still would have been JPP at which point I probably would have broke my TV.
Reggie Nelson - thought the Eraser could become the best safety in football and was really, really pissed that they passed on him. I was wrong.
I really liked Dan Cody too.
Anyway, I wanted Reggie Nelson in the worst way one year and thought that second round selection of Brian Robiskie would be the answer to our WR woes. Oops.
Good one. I forgot about him
he had bad build up speed, he was a long strider and was bad at separating underneath. not the most sure handed and psychically imposing type of receiver either. He can make flash big plays downfield but he isn't the type that can hurt you after the catch in the underneath game (Since hes only fast once he gets his full stride going) and can not consistently make plays on every level of the field.
I thought he was going to be a top 5 tight end. I fought like hell for him and lavonte david in 2012 around here. I missed badly there
He's been a starter in the NFL since his rookie year. The last few seasons he's made plenty of impact plays on a very good Bengal D.
JAX blew it by letting him go too early. He's proven them wrong. Nelson is not a draft bust.
