for breakfast. For Mexican go to Las Palomas on Bee Cave Road & get a table on the patio upstairs. Or, try Guero's on S. Congress.

can't find second link. Anyway, we love Barley Swine and Sway - both amazing food. A lot of folks love Franklin's BBQ, but you will waste an entire morning waiting there.

Uchi is supposed to be amazing as well.

guess Franklin's may be great but we avoid because you will wait forever. Lambert's (downtown) is good and usually has live music. Same with Stubbs but haven't eaten there in 2-3 yrs.
Rudy's

That's all.

I think we tried 6 places and it was definitely last place.

Torchy's Tacos. Born in Austin, they definitely put some of the "weird" into their tacos. Highly recommended
Lost of great eating in Austin
PatersonPlank : 4/21/2014 3:03 pm : link
BBQ: Franklins, Salt Lick, Stubbs, County Line.

Great steak restaurants: like III Forks, Sullivans, and Eddie V's.

Wild Game: Hudson's on the Bend (this is stuff like Buffalo, Quail, Venizon (deer), etc. Basically things you shoot

Just Fun: The Oasys on Lake Travis (nice bar type food, and of course a nice bar, on the cliffs overlooking Lake Travis)

Mexican: Everywhere and anywhere
The Oasis
Berrylish : 4/21/2014 4:19 pm : link

on 29th Street is great. Juan in a Million on E. Cesar Chavez..mmmm...great breakfast tacos.

I'm partial to Taqueria Arandas - several locations around town. Curras Grill on Oltorf is good interior Mex.

Fonda San Miguel has the best interior Mex and an absolutely otherworldly Sunday brunch.
Austin also has
