The networks (Fox, NBC, ESPN) are probably all arguing for the SF, Denver, Dallas, & GB games.
They will use the Giants as the largest TV market, and SB champ from 2 seasons ago to pump up the ratings for opening night.
Then, of course, the Giants are set-up for a nightmare of an opening night.
I wouldn't hate opening with seattle as they won't know us and better to play them early than late. As for giants I see us either opening at home vs san Francisco or home vs Washington on mnf
I wouldn't mind playing Seattle early but preferably not Week 1. I hope our Week 1 opponent is fairly "beatable".. the last thing I want to see is this team get off to an 0-1 start and everyone starts thinking "here we go again".
Just get that first win out of the way right out of the gates.
we'll get them Week 1. Here's Seattle's Home Games:
Arizona, San Francisco, St. Louis, Dallas, NY Giants, Denver, Oakland, Green Bay
San Francisco, Green Bay, and Denver were all playoff teams last year, and 2 of those would be rematches of the NFC Championship Game and Super Bowl respectively.
If we assume the networks kick up a fuss (especially CBS re: the Denver game), the next tier down would be Dallas (always a popular pick) and Arizona (only team to beat Seattle at home last year). Both of whom were better than us last year, although Airzona admittedly doesn't have much national appeal.
I would put us above St. Louis and Oakland for likelihood of playing in that game, no higher.
