because we didn't sign a TE in free agency, we will then draft Ebron at 12? What if he goes before that? What if they like a different TE even better?
We might end up with Ebron but I would think it would be because value and need match up there. And I'm not sure that Ebron is the 12th valued player. I'm not sure if he's close.
on what they think he can be for us. I am curious to do break downs on how our offense utilizes its players this season. if Ben M. thinks he can utilize Ebron and he can be highly productive, I wonder if we marry value and need and decide that he is the right pick.
The Giants top receiving option on the roster is currently Victor Cruz. After him lurk Rueben Randle, who is primed for a break out year if he can put everything together, and Mario Manningham, who hasn't scared anyone since his miracle catch in the last Giants Pats Super Bowl. The addition of Ebron could potentially provide Manning with enough targets to make a regular season push to make the playoffs. And once he's there, he very well may have one more miracle play in the Super Bowl to get himself another ring.
is whoever the Giants select, they'll come out and say that had had the guy ranked as a top 5 talent in the draft...lol
It sure seems like they say that every year how they had the prospect ranked much higher to justify picks.
Agree with you my man. I've been on Ebron for a long long time. A stud tight end is worth drafting at 12 and would instantly upgrade the offense. Think shockey in 02 but better. Please, save the he can't block comments for Brandon Myers.
Player than fleener coming out of college. Fleener had luck and who exaclty was on the heels offense who was so good. Ebron got all the attention and produced all the time. Can't deny production.
The Giants need a first round pick at #12 that is full of himself, can't block and has a bad case of the dropsies?
Hell no. Default players are Lewan & Martin, not a guy who shouldn't even go in the 1st round.
Who was a better prospect coming out of college, Ebron or Fleener. (Fleener went at the top of round 2 and I don't think Ebron is as good.)
Where did you get this opinion of Ebron from? Most mock drafts have the guy as a top 15 pick. How do you know he is "full of himself"?? Because he is confident?? FYI all good athletes are confident. The hate around here for Ebron is just as sickening as the "internet hand job" that Aaron Donald gets every day.
Show me the last TE taken in the top 15 that has lived up to the hype
Vernon Davis in 2006? Anyone else? Didn't think so.
Vernon Davis was was worth a high draft pick. He produced in college (including blocking) and his measurables were better than almost every other WR, let alone TE. And it still took 4 years before he made an impact.
Spending the #12 pick on a TE like Ebron when this is the most talented draft in a decade would be beyond foolish.
If McAdoo thinks this guy is the real deal, then the Giants will take him.
Is McAdoo making the offensive picks this year after being on staff for about 3+ months? Did Gilbride get his say if he thought someone was "the real deal"?

To say McAdoo does not have input in what type of players fit his scheme is not logical. It is ridiculous to say Gilbride did not have a say. I am pretty sure Gilbride had a say in the selection of Nicks, knowing very well that Nicks would understand a complicated offense.

2 weeks away from the draft and he barely has any player profiles up
isaid the need and the value is there.
