Beatty's broken leg

Giants : 4/23/2014 1:22 pm
This is the second time Beatty right leg broke. The first time he was in college 2006. I've read when bone has healed it is no more of a risk of breaking than any other bone. What I have not found is if the same bone breaks again. Is it now at greater risk of breaking again ? Can any of BBI doctors tell us if Beatty right leg now a greater risk of breaking again or not.
I suppose it depends

broken bone comes back stronger after healing...........
We know very little about the nature of the break

so all we can do is speculate. If it was a simple fracture he should heal up pretty normally. But if it were a compound fracture of both bones, well, my wife is still limping 40 years later. If it was a spiral fracture.....my daughter has had 7 surgeries since hers. Lets hope for the best.
Why isn't...

think one break the player can comeback without a problem. Two breaks to same leg has to give NFL teams real concerns.
Watched his interview last night on Giants.com

This injury is much less about a broken leg and much more about his knee. He talks at length about having a knee injury.

on one year contract breaks left leg for second time is gone. Beatty still had time left on his contract, plus it is for a lot more money. Maybe that contract is the difference. If the Giants could find away out of that contract. Beatty would be gone

I just watched that interview. It annoys the hell out of me that not one of our crack beat reporters asked about his knee. To my knowledge, there has never been a report mentioning a knee injury, never mind describing what the injury was. Apparently he had surgery on it.
That would seem

The Giants were really over a barrel when they gave him that contract. There were no good F/A LTs that were remotely affordable. You can't count on a 1st round draftee to come in and start at LT.

Giants had no choice at the time. Remember too that Beatty played pretty well and injury free in 2012. No one suspected he'd regress so much the following year.

That is a big part of it. Beatty has only had one good season. Now he coming of his second break to his right leg as well as a knee injury

a long shot. & they might very well expect a tackle taken in the first round to come in & start right away.
