Revised mock

In light of Will Hill dumb-assery and reports Giants like Schofield and Bucannon. Donald appears increasingly unlikely to be there at #12, but just the same...Would you guys sign up?

#1 – Aaron Donald, DT, Pitt
#2 – Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame
#3 – Deone Bucannon, S, Wash. State
#4 – Michael Schofield, OT, Michigan
#5a – Tyler Gaffney, RB, Stanford
#5b – Wesley Johnson, C, Vanderbilt
#6 – L’Damian Washington, WR, Missouri
Giants have enough safeties

no need to make a knee jerk reaction..
nice job except no viable WR

#1 – Aaron Donald, DT, Pitt >> ideal pick

#2 – Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame >>

#3 – Deone Bucannon, S, Wash. State >> I'd go Lattimer or similar level WR here

#4 – Michael Schofield, OT, Michigan >> good spot for him

#5a – Tyler Gaffney, RB, Stanford >> will undoubtedly be a productive player, does everything well (nothing great)

#5b – Wesley Johnson, C, Vanderbilt >> very underrated player who I think is more LT than interior guy

#6 – L’Damian Washington, WR, Missouri >> great kid, great height/speed, just not good at anything but a GO route

If Jeff Janis could be had instead of Washington, I'd sign up for this draft in a hurry.
not sure I can see us waiting 4 rounds

to go OL. Seems like whoever is taken then won't be able to start, regardless of how much people may like him.

We need a starting caliber OL in the 1st 2 rounds.
How about Jared Abberderis

in the 3rd or 4th round? That guy always appears open, runs great routes, has good hands and enough speed to make a difference in the passing game. Like him a ton.
With Beatty's presence at the start of the season in doubt

can't see us not taking a LT with Round 1 or 2 if someone drops. While I would love a shiny new weapon for Eli, I think a Lewan or Matthews makes more sense.
pugh is the LT from this point fwd

Rolle and Brown have 1 year remaining. Hill, if we keep him, is on his last year though he is an RFA and obviously who knows if he can be counted on to stay clean. I don't think it necessarily is a knee jerk reaction.
If T2 hasn't been signed by Oakland

I'd say bring him back as a S
if they are counting on Schofield to be the man that is stupid.

I've seen enough of the 4th, 5th and 6th round projects that Reese and Co are "in love" with. Brewer, McCants, Mosely have all sucked. They can no longer afford to go the "hope" route on the OL, they need to invest another premium pick. Pugh was a good start, they need more.

Sy'56 thinks that Schofield is not very good. Pass.
Take WR Jordan Matthews

in rd 3. No need to make a knee jerk reaction to the safety spot. Giants knew about Hill, thats what Stevie Brown and Quinten Demps will have to make up for though. I still dont think Donald should go as high as 12 though, too small.

Its going to be Evans if hes available, if not Ebron. Then I think they will go CB before DT. I would love Justin Gilbert at 12. Or trade back and take Benjamin at WR and get an early 3rd Rd pick to get CJ Fred. the TE from Iowa Spend rd 2 on OL

Couldn't agree with you more about Pugh being LT. Draft zac Martin for left guard and you will have a pro bowl left side for many years. Not to mention keeping Eli upright and healthy
