If you consider that the teams finishing highest in their division should get the harder schedule the NFL actually got it right from one perspective. That perspective is based on the number of 2013 WINS by the teams they play in 2014.
The finishing order last year was:
1. Philadelphia
2. Dallas
3. Giants
4. Washington
Excluding the wins for our inter-division games all NFC E teams will play the total wins in the schedules are:
1. Philadelphia 86
2. Dallas 85
3. Giants 77
4. Washington 75
Looking at the same picture but for away games only is comes out a little off at:
1. Philadelphia 43
2. Washington 40
3. Dallas 39
4. Giants 38
Looking at the number of non-regular Time Slots we have:
1. Philadelphia 6:
2 Monday night games
2 Sunday night games
1 Thanksgiving day game
1 Saturday Game
2. Dallas 6
1 Monday night game
3 Sunday night games
2 Thursday Games (one on Thanksgiving)
1 Game in London
3. Giants 4
2 Monday night games
1 Sunday night game
1 Thursday night game
4. Washington 3
2 Monday night games
1 Saturday game
Looking at who can jump off to a good start - Wins in the first quarter of the season (first 4 games)
Dallas 37
Philadelphia 27 plus playing Washington
Giants 19 plus playing Washington
Washington 6 plus playing Philadelphia and the Giants
Because the NFCE is playing NFCW this year all NFCE schedules are hard playing Seattle, San Fran, and Arizona.
Only Philadelphia and Washington get to play Seattle at home ad that is a big advantage. I look forward to what BBI thinks of our schedule.
Thursday night vs Skins
Sunday night vs eagles
Monday night vs colts
Sunday night vs cowboys
I hate that place....
You could run this info and be the same for every division in the league.
We will play 'em one at a time.
I appreciate your time with the breakdown too, it was pretty cool to interpret it.
Is this a rhetorical question?
Not sure why that's so hard to understand.
