get criticized and no one can say anything against Reese and company. I say if you are going to put out emotional bullshit backed up with what I think is intent to stir it up, then I got the same right to go after you and you can come back at me. But the tactic of disarming return criticism in advance by writing" you are not allowed to criticize Reese" isn't going to fly with me

How about focusing on the player and letting people have whatever damn opinion they want, Mr Hall Monitor?

Holy fucking shit. How many times does it need to be said? Opinions are fine. It's when an idiot says, 'OMG! I cant believe that they left [insert man crush here] on the board! This guy sucks!'

That's not an opinion, it's nonsensical bullshit footstamping all because someone posting on an internet message board thinks they know more than an NFL FO Exec.

It's your opinion that it's not an opinion.

And, fyi, it is an opinion. Just one you don't like.

It's not an opinion when it's presented as fact. But, I dont expect someone like you to be able to comprehend something like that.

has a death wish. This draft has been a disaster. TE,LB,OT? It's time for a change.

Be careful. The pom pom squad will come and try to shout you down.

The pom-pom squad, eh? This shows how truly clueless you and your ilk really are. All you do is trash whatever picks are made, with no attempt at a reasoned argument.

Intellectually, you operate at around a fifth-grade level (my apologies to any fifth-graders here) and then try to lay the same sort of mindless, reactionary crappola on those who point out your lack of cerebral rigor.
Saying
Kulish29 : 5/10/2014 3:39 pm : link
"Man, they took Player A but, I really liked Player B better because...I dont like Player A because..."

is an opinion

Saying,

"I cant believe they took Player A. He sucks. Player B is sooo much better because he was ranked [insert worthless internet ranking here] and his scouting report was sooo much better. Player A is going to be terrible, what an awful pick by Reese."

is not an opinion. It's is something that is presented as fact by a know nothing, internet troll.

If you cant see the difference, well, then I'm not surprised.

is the worst poster on this board. Bar none. The clown has literally never had even one single remotely contributing post. Usually you can find at least one redeeming quality in a person, but this character draws blanks.

Chris, I am completely aware that it is your shtick to be the contrarian. I get that. But you really should take a look at yourself man. The fact that not one person that posts regularly on this site can tolerate you should make you want to improve yourself. And yes, this is where you tell me that you don't care what others think of you. Fine. But you really are a complete tool. I sit back and read your posts and can't imagine that someone would like to go through life like this. If you want to be a miserable prick, that's fine. But please, do it on your own damn time, in your own world. It's not cool to infest this site with your bullshit. Just go away. You would not be missed. I promise.

Does this refer to Nat Berhe or did you mean 'kids-game', as in 'school yard argument' being carried on by the children on this thread?

If the Giants were to listen to some of you so called draft experts, we wouldn't be sitting on 2 Super Bowls over the last few years. Some of you guys have been shit talking since round one. Get off the damn rag for crying out loud. The Giants are doing what's best for the damn Giants. Not for BBI

nicky43 : 5/10/2014 3:56 pm : link
The Giants are strong on having players with high charachtor and good morals but it seems every pick this year is concentrating more on their leadership ability and how smart they are over performance much more than usual. The only pick they made so far that I've heard of before was Odel but I don't watch much college football.

This guy is insurance against a possible Will Hill suspension, a probable Cooper Taylor injury, and the possibility that Stevie Brown has some issues returning from the injury.

According to whom? There's not one of the self-appointed "experts" that really knows jack about the prospects. Hell, take any random 10 draft pubs and I'll wager that there are going to be far more similarities than differences.

Shit, they're all talking to the same people, including each other, and then tweaking the slightest bit to provide a surface gloss of "difference/knowledge/acumen" et cetera.
Jimmy Ward went first round, number 30, to the 49ers.
MOOPS : 5/10/2014 4:07 pm : link
To be honest, probably not a lot of difference between Berhe and Ward. Anybody who loves that pick and hates Berhe in the 5th has a friggin screw loose.

live. I haven't watched him on TV. I haven't met with him, worked him out, or broken down his film to see what his potential upside or and how he fits what our team wants to do.

But I threw the remote because I never heard of him so it must be a reach.

Jim Burt64 : 5/10/2014 8:41 pm : link
Instinctual, aggressive - good tackler.
He's a role player for sure
Joey in VA : 5/10/2014 9:26 pm : link
But he'll be a fan favorite if you like effort, tenacity and aggression. He plays way faster than he times, he feet go a hundred miles an hour and he breaks down and accelerates well. If he was 6-1 and a touch faster he's a 2nd rounder. He's too aggressive at times but he should be a demon on special teams, I can see him being a great gunner.

He's one of those guys who the more you watch, the more you see, he really really grows on you. He'll have trouble with numbers we have Rolle, Hill, Brown, Demps, Cooper but he'll be hard to cut once he shows his ST ability. I'm rooting for him, I really really like the way he plays football.
yes

Q: What were your expectations here in the draft? What were you being told about where you thought you would be going?

A: You hear multiple things from different teams. I heard from the Steelers that if I was available in the third round they would get me in the third or the fourth. I heard fourth of fifth. It was all in the same area. I mostly heard fourth or fifth.

So the Steelers were saying third or fourth.. He was hearing fourth or fifth.. but the GIANTS somehow had it wrong.. ok...

watching his highlights -
Del Shofner : 5/10/2014 10:35 pm : link
I know they're highlights, but he seems to do a couple of things very well besides the big hits. One is avoiding traffic - he has quick lateral movement and seems to avoid blocks well. The other is reading where the play is going.
This player is going to help us
Marty866b : 5/10/2014 11:02 pm : link
And yes, I've seen him play. At the very least, this guy is going to be a very good,if not great, special teams player. Also, I think he will be one of the outside guys blocking on punts which we has been a problem for us.Our punt returners never seem to have any room after the catch. Behre is extremely physical. I don't know if we really needed another safety but I think he's going to contribute.
This guy seems like a possible great fit
Blue Blood : 5/10/2014 11:05 pm : link
for Fewell's three safety package as he already plays as a hybrid LB/S....
guys, you will love him
SHO'NUFF : 5/11/2014 7:24 am : link
I watched every game...probably nearly every game of his career at State...he's a player. The only problem with drafting him is he couldn't bring his fullback with him to the team. (Jets picked him up as a UFDA, Chad Young, you'll hear his name again).
hybrid LB/S
Bill in UT : 5/11/2014 11:42 am : link
I believe he's big enough for safety at 186, but I think that's a bit of a stretch for LB

He's listed at 196 I believe, and he said he played last season at about 200. No problem with size.
yeah, my bad
Bill in UT : 5/11/2014 3:48 pm : link
I put down Mathieu's weight by mistake. 200 is still too small for LB tho. Taylor is the S/LB hybrid on the team and he's a way bigger guy. Doesn't hit like Berhe, tho
