What was your favorite away game that you attended?

BayRidgeBlue : 6/23/2014 12:40 pm
After going to the Carolina game the last two years I experienced the highs and lows (it was bad) of being an opposing fan at another team's stadium.

My favorite was the Monday night game against Atlanta in 07' - by the 4th quarter the Georgia Dome might as well have been Giants Stadium. Towards the end of the game we were chanting a bunch of players names and O'Hara pointed towards Eli (his back was towards us) as Eli's popularity (and likely confidence) wasn't what it is now. Nice move by O'Hara and funny in retrospect as we didn't know what Eli had in store for us later that year and 4 years later!

Which game was your favorite?

A must win game, they railed being down by 14 early in the 1st quarter. A win clinched them a playoff birth. The weather was absolutely horrendous. Cold, windy, & rainy in the beginning. Then the rain turned to heavy snow.

A couple pick sixes for us, and a huge day running the ball.

The Eagles fans were so cocky, carrying on about pickle juice, that they never saw the ass whipping coming.

This game was actually close most of the first half. The Giants lead 6-3 at the two minute warning, but two quick touchdowns put the giants up 20-3 and the home crowd turned ugly. The second half was great, the Giants put together a couple of long time consuming drives that ended in points. Every time the Eagles made a mistake the Vet let them hear it.

Giants had lost first two games, but won this one 24-17 after a memorable goal line stand. On their way to the best ending of a season, ever! Lots of dejected Redskin fans. My kids and I couldn't have been happier.

it was a very close back and forth game then JPP blocked a field goal to seal the victory. What a great game, what a great win! Afterward, I was expecting a lot of grief from Cowboys fans but they pretty much left me alone (even though I was donning a Giants shirt).

It was a huge game for both teams, the place was absolutely electric!! Back and forth all game, so many heart pounding moments. We were locked in arm in arm with about 15 other Giant fans, across isles, up and down rows all screaming before the kick JPP blocked. Just went insane after that. I guess I'm biased but I always felt like our run that year started right there.

'07 in Tampa was fun and exciting being a playoff game but it felt like we had that game the entire time. Gathering behind the bench after the win and screaming back and forth with the guys behind the Giants bench was great. Never forget Diehl was one of the last guys to leave, fist pumping and howling up at the crowd.

in Atlanta in 2007. It was a weird home crowd in the Georgia Dome. I think they were still shell-shocked from the whole Vick controversy (it was only 1-2 months or so after he'd been suspended). The fans in general were very friendly though. It was also the first time I'd gone to a football game in a dome - which was a completely different experience IMO.

A loss, probably best remembered for an offside penalty on a missed field goal. Still, a classic bout between two great heavyweights from the pre-UFA era. Sandwiched between the famous 1986 and 1990 games, this one shared some of the best aspects of both.

These teams should have met again for the NFC Championship. Unfortunately, Flipper Anderson had other ideas.

one was a loss in a hurricane in new england, Tiki fumbled first drive, returned for a TD Giants lost 10 - 6 or something.

And a tie at RFK stadium on a rainy November Sunday night (Gus Frerrotte headbutt in the end zone; michael westbrook helmet off in OT game)

I'm not likely to go to any more.

Clinched the division. Sat right behind the Giants bench at the 50 with a whole row of other Giants fans. Got so loud by us toward the end of game that the security guard from on field was telling us to calm it down...in his words "orders from above" (hinting at owners box behind us and looking back seeing the head of Al Davis peaking down).

Tiki's 90 yd TD run...and huge goal line stop by Tuck at DT (his sort of coming of point imo on how good he was) and stopping QB sneak. Fun time...met and talked to ESPN worker on the field and they were having a get together in SF later..which we went to later..great time

attended three giants road games and they were all amazing:

in 1996, they killed the lions 35-7; the garbage time touchdown of defensive tackle ray agnew stripping barry sanders and rumbling in for a touchdown was pure ecstacy. the trashy lions fans were in abundance and they were quite sour but there were a lot of giants fans in the house.

in 1999, they defeated the doug flutie led bills 19-17 on a last minute cary blanchard 48 yard field goal that barely made it over the crossbar on a frigid afternoon in orchard park. no flutie flakes heroics/hail maries. funniest moment was watching some fat drunk dude in a ken hull jersey passed out holding a beer and seeing it slowly tip into his lap as the crowd in the section all followed and cheered with each subsequent movement towards his soon to be drenched pants.

i went to the 2006 monday nighter in dallas that marked the beginning of romo-mania; giants dominated all night, but injuries and a conservative style in the second half almost led to a cowboy comeback until kevin dockery picked off romo in the clutch and ran back a long TD.

Took my son. We both wore Giants jerseys. Back in the old stadium we had to park way far away, and then walk through a walkway with temporary railings on the sides that weaved through the entire parking lot (and tailgates). Fans were swearing at us, through food, etc.; my son was amazed. We got the last laugh however when we scored two TDs in the last 3 minutes, and then JPP blocked the FG. It was funny, as soon as we scored the first TD all the Cowboy fans knew they would lose. They were such defeated losers.

I stood up and said"HEY!" they all turned around, and I said "whaddaya got to say now,LOSERS????" Return to the Sombrero. Being a huge Simms fan, I hated seeing him lose the job to Hoss. Hoss gets hurt in this game. Tied 14-14 late and Simms hits Baker for the game winner. Tampa was terrible that year and that would have been a horrendous loss...IIRC they followed it up with some poor losses and missed the playoffs.

Win and in. And tiki had his career game. Going into that game I was angry at him for all the distractions and didn't think he had any heart left. By the end of the game i had no voice left because I was yelling his name so loud and so often. It was a great game. And my boss got me the tickets for christmas. 30 yd line right behind the Giants bench. Amazing. Skins fans were so pissed that me and my buddy had to take our jerseys off and hide them under our jackets when leaving because all the threats we were getting. Great effing game. And tiki had proven me wrong. But then he had to open his mouth week one on NBC and ruined it all. Too bad.

1) 2007 NFC Championship game - The cold, the few Giants fans who were there, the stakes. I don't know if I'll ever top this.

2) 2008 @ Pittsburgh - The two top teams in the NFL mano y mano. Back and forth and the Giants pull out a great win.

3) 2011 @ Jets - I know this sort of doesn't count, but seeing a 99 yd TD run is rarer than a perfect game, so it was amazing to shut all those Jets fans up and have a great Christmas.
