Inability to finish wouldn't have mattered if the refs made the right calls in games 2 and 5. That sort of advantage isn't negligible when teams are in the SCF, IMO.
Should we have finished? Yes. But it's hard for any team to overcome those sort of calls in crucial situations.
I mean, we may lose in six if the refs made the right calls. The Kings were a great team. But we were never going to be a team that skull-fucked the series.
game 5 wasnt egregiously called to me. They fucked up one call early in the 3rd period... that the Kings ultimately capitalized on.
They gave the Rangers far more Powerplays in OT.. the Rangers didnt capitalize.
Frankly our "stars" (excluding Hank obviously) didnt play like stars... you know specifically who i'm talking about... theirs did. That is why they are Champions.
