guy doesnt have overpowering stuff, but what he throws is just confusing. Will be interesting to see if his success lasts in his 2nd time thru the league.
Coming off a really encouraging end to the first half, winning the first game and looking really good.. to drop the next 2 and lose this series is just not acceptable. You can't have that happen if you're really going to turn a corner here.
to lose a game on two simple ground balls to the pitcher. Only the Mets could accomplish such a pitiful feat. I'm afraid the journey back to .500 is headed in the other direction.
Fun to watch Mets fans leap off the bandwagon after a game or two
The Mets are a better team now than they were at the beginning of the season, but it's not like they're actually a good team. Not yet. There are still pieces missing.
And come on, even good teams drop a deuce in the punchbowl now and again.
The fact that most of us are still watching every game after these last handful of years pretty much nixes the idea of being anything remotely resembling bandwagon fans at all.
It was just a frustrating loss. They were playing really encouraging ball before the break and looked like they were going to keep it going after Friday night. Dropping 1 would have been fine. But you can't lose games like this and lose series' to shitty teams if you want to really turn this around. It's just unacceptable. I'm tired of saying "well, it happens.. oh well! Next time"
Wheeler was really good today and he looks like he's settling in nicely and really becoming that pitcher we thought we got to begin with. These types of losses have just been so fucking Metsian over the years and it's very frustrating.

"v Despite taking the no decision, Wheelers has allowed one run in each of his last four starts. After a weak June that saw his ERA rise to 4.25, Wheeler's three starts in July have lowered it to 3.78 on the season. Wheeler is also keeping up his strikeout rate, retiring 17 batters on strikes in the last three games. He ranks 26th in the league with 112 strikeouts."

But only one run down so they can still easily pull this out.
Eveland in for Wheeler

if we win 2 of 3 or better vs seattle it is fine
for some reason we play better vs the better teams and seattle not pitching king felix gives us a chance
