Last PPV before Summerslam.

I wonder if Brock is gonna show up to set up his feud with Cena.

MookGiants : 7/20/2014 7:13 pm : link
does smackdown usually have a decent amount of the big wrestlers at it? I bought ringside tix for my nephew for his birthday when they come to wilkes barre in September and hoping he will get to see some of the ones he likes and sees on raw

You'll get a lot of the mid-carders. Basically the JV squad.

Guys like Ziggler and Cesaro. But no Bray Wyatts or John Cenas.

yes it does. It doesn't really advance the storylines as much but it does feature most of the big names.

PS What the hell is this El Matadors ? haha
You'll have a good time though

Earlier today to meet some of the wrestlers and somebody said that Brock came in with Heyman fairly early. From what Heyman told them they didn't think he would be on TV tonight, but would be on Raw. No idea how true it is and I don't see why the guy would lie to me. I guess we will see tomorrow.

Oh and Natalya looks soooooooo much better in person then she does on TV. Was eating at The Brickhouse Tavern in Tampa last Wednesday. Natalya and Naomi were filming Total Divas. Got a picture with Natalya. Omg she looked unbelievable. Got another picture with her today and once again she was unbelievable. She was with Tyson Kidd so she didn't have a short ass dress on today. Still amazing though.

I'm going to ND/Michigan that weekend and we may make a detour on Sunday and go to Detroit on the way home for the Giants game on Monday night. 50/50 if we are going to do that or not, if we do I may not make it back in time to go and in that case would give my ticket to my other brother.

Hahaha that is what I said to her. She was like long time no see. I said I promise I'm not stalking you lol she is cool as hell though. When I saw her at dinner I was talking to her about the PPV and told her I was going to the event. She was like awesome hope to see you again. Very very nice lady. Very excited that somebody was talking to her about wrestling and not just Total Divas.

The people who are involved with Total Divas are complete assholes. Nobody at the restaurant even knew who they were. They just knew there were cameras there. Idk who it was exactly, but it was somebody with that was involved with the film crew. They told me no she isn't signing autographs or taking pictures. I'm thinking who the fuck are you to tell me what somebody else is doing. While he was telling me they aren't taking pictures Natalya saw him talking to us. Came up and was like do you guys want a picture. Put the guy in his place.
CGiants
Big Rick in FL : 7/20/2014 7:59 pm : link
There were a few people outside the event that told me they got to every single show and wait outside to get autographs/pictures at every show. They said Roman Reigns is normally pretty nice when it comes to auto/pictures, but today he was in the best mood they have ever seen him in. The guy thought he might win, because of how nice he was and Cena doing his movie stuff. Which I don't buy for a second.

Idk if Cena and Nikki broke up, but they were not traveling together. Cena was on his tour bus and Nikki came with her Mother and Brother.

& will most likely put Bray over, but it is a joke that Kane is in the title match tonight. I'm sure he is going to turn his back on Randy Orton. He is old now he shouldn't be in title matches anymore. Bray is supposed to be a heel, but he gets cheered like a babyface. He's pretty damn popular. He needs to be in most of the big matches. I don't care for Cena, Orton or Kane. They have all been very successful, but they have been getting a push for way too long now. Roman Reigns, Ambrose, Bray, Rollins, Ziggler are the guys who need to get a push.

On paper how much better would the title match look if it was Cena, Reigns, Bray and Rollins? That is something I assume most would want to watch.

Yeah I know it fits the storyline better, but only because Orton is in the match. Which he shouldn't be either IMO. He is boring as hell. I just don't really like the whole Authority story line in the first place. Daniel Bryan beating HHH should have put an end to that angle.

Damn thought Bray was going to win tonight. Guess Jericho is going to put him over at SummerSlam? Is he still going to be wrestling then? I would have to assume so with him winning tonight.

Big Rick in FL : 7/20/2014 10:02 pm : link
Would still be around at SummerSlam that is why I thought Bray was going over. I hate how they have booked Bray in actual matches. They don't match his gimmick IMO. The way he talks you would think he is one of those crazy motherfuckers that can take an absolute beating and basically not feel any pain. At times they make him look way too weak.

Along with the part-time wrestlers and fucking Triple H. He is the biggest camera hog of them all. If I never saw him on camera again it wouldn't upset me at all.

I would have had the Wyatt's start turning people into monsters, beginning with Cena at SummerSlam. Then have like Wwe vs the Wyatt's for a while like NWO back in the day. But we are stuck with the stupid authority storyline.

i figured Miz would win once he started laying around outside. Hollywood Miz. Good job trolling the audience with Ziggler. Was legit shocking seeing Heath slater toss out Cesaro.

I thought for sure either Cesaro or Bo Dallas was winning.

Miz from headlining and retaining the WWE title at mania back down to IC champ.

Miz has been done to death as IC Champ. At least it isn't Sheamus..

Cena is built more like a long reigning champ like a Hogan or Backlund or Sammartino since he is booked like their golden boy BUT the ENTIRE point of Ric Flair and later Triple H winning the title so many times added to their VILLAINOUS nature. I.e. Cheap heat to say I am the best because I am (X) time champion.

Steve Austin ‏@steveaustinBSR 3m
@JohnCena needs to tighten up the STF from what I'm seeing on my twitter feed. C'mon, John...Tighten the sumbitch up...

And this isn't the first time Austin has given him that advice. Cena literally used 4 moves that entire match. It's incredible. He's so inept in the ring that it's scary. And then you have Michael Cole literally giving oral to Cena every chance he gets. It's sickening, but it's truly amazing that someone so boring, unentertaining and inept is on the verge of breaking Flair's streak. What a country we live in.

Let The Miz win the Battle Royal, have Cena win again and nix Ambrose vs Rollins.

fairness a neck injury has nothing to do with the size of a wrestler, even Vince has to realize this. Also they seemingly are going to give KENTA a pretty massive push and he's even smaller than Bryan, Seth Rollins isn't much bigger than Bryan either.

I read they are going to tell Kenta to tone down his arscenal because he is very active and fast in the ring...

I hope they dont try to slow down Rollins to much and try to get him to wrestle and bigger wrestlers pace...

DanMetroMan : 7/21/2014 11:24 am : link
believe they told KENTA to tone it down in regard to his stiff working style. He hits/kicks much harder than most WWE guys are accustomed to and it 1. Makes others look bad when they don't return with similar looking offense 2. Can obviously cause injuries. He also "invented" the GTS and apparently won't be allowed to use it.

That's a problem too.

You hire a guy based on the fact that he's electric in the ring, then ask him to change his style, and when he comes here and isn't instantly a hit with the fans, they'll bury him and not bother writing anything for him.
The problem with Heyman now
nygiants16 : 7/21/2014 11:28 am : link
is as soon as Lesnar returns he leaves the guy he is working with out of the blue and goes back to Lesnar...

Look at Cesaro he was working with Cesaro and now Lesnar is returning and all of sudden he is no longer with Cesaro....

Thats the main problem with putting anyone with Heyman

Tajiri was the closest thing to a success, and even then he was never as big as his talent level suggested he should have been. He's excellent in the ring.
Aversion to stables is the problem, not Heyman
Kyle : 7/21/2014 11:30 am : link
Heyman leading a Heenan-style stable of dudes signed to him would be fine, but the WWE doesn't like stables.

DanMetroMan : 7/21/2014 11:32 am : link
a few months with Heyman could help him, or even Flair. Bottom line is you have to be able to cut a promo. Heck, traditionally even the English wrestlers have had trouble making it big over here. The fans don't want to do much work.

This is true.

Because of the two concussions he's had in the last 12 months, the story I read a few months ago is that WWE is worried about him getting another one and thus killing any future push they try to give him.

Not sure what you do about that one. Ziggler is kind of stuck.

is definitely like a young Piper

Kurt Angle needs to come back even in a non-wrestling role. It's true, it's damn true.
This Flo-rida performace

has the crowd about as interested as a paint drying contest.
are they actually singing along with a recording of their own song?

Stephanie led off in handcuffs. Man I was hoping those fun bags were going to fall out of that top.
I will give Stephanie McMahon credit
TheNeumann64 : 7/21/2014 10:10 pm : link
her reaction to being arrested is exactly how I'd expect the character she plays to react if she was arrested in real life. Nice combination of whining and threatening.

On the Flo Rida thing, outside of people's entrance music being played live, are musical performances on a wrestling show EVER well received? Yet we get a few of these every year.
Stephanie's fun bags

Ugh.
TheNeumann64 : 7/21/2014 11:01 pm : link
I knew this was coming, but ugh.

At least you Cena haters will probably be rid of him for a few months on TV because I'm sure Lesnar will legitimately hurt him like he does everyone he works with.

pfft....

Brock Rules.
I know I'm in the minority on him,
TheNeumann64 : 7/21/2014 11:05 pm : link
but I can't stand him. I'm a network subscriber so I'll obviously watch Summerslam, but in all honesty, I'd rather see Cena-Orton chapter 496 than Brock Lesnar wrestle.

But everyone else seems to like it, so I'll shut up lol.
hahahaha

Better than the no selling bury every opponent John cena
I just love

how even though Brock leaves for 3-4 months at a time..... he gets a ripping ovation whenever he comes back..

When he came back a few years ago after wrestlemania was one of the biggest pops I ever heard.
man you are nuts
Mr. Nickels : 7/22/2014 12:33 am : link
Lesnar is as legit as it gets.

This match has the biggest match feel in years.

Lesnar actually competing for the title. He better win.

Only to then lose it the next month so on the Night of Champions Cena can parade around with Flair's record.

This feels bigger than the Mania main event which was more storyline than match appeal.

Lesnar is fresh off beating the Undertaker. 20 years ago this is how things would be booked. He wouldn't have had to do much between Mania and Summerslam. I am fine with him being a special attraction but maybe if he wears the belt he has to at least do 1 tv appearance and 1 ppv match per month. Lesnar should be able to swing that.

Congrats John Cena
