It means that Beatty has been cleared to get on the field. Since you can come off the preseason PUP at any time, the only reason to not list somebody is that you expect them to participate in practice #1.
Exactly. Very big news that Beatty will be practicing from day one. At least he's got a fighting chance to get it going. PUP would have been a disaster for him. He needs every snap he can get. Might be the biggest news so far and I dont mean in any way to downplay Snee but that was talked about here a lot. Not exactly a huge surprise.
It' not about any advantage. Players that can't pass their physical end up on the PUP list. If they get heathy during camp they get off it. If not, they're intelligible for six games and then can get off it.
for regular season, both with different rules for eligibility.I thought you can come off PuP duting camp, get reinjured, and the get put on the regular season PuP list where you have to miss the first 6 games.

There are two, but once a player has taken so much as one snap in practice, even if during it they get injured, they are not eligible for the PUP. See the linked thread for the full details. here - ( New Window )

You can't practice. Guys who are limited can at least practice a bit...
No.
