but Refsnyder still learning how to play 2B is no longer an excuse for why he is not in the majors. Roberts's fielding lately (but really all year) cannot be worse that Refsnyder.

There is no reason not to call up Refsnyder and Pirela to play 2B and RF respectively. They aren't going to release Suzuki, but he should go back to being a 4th OF. Roberts can be released.

good to see. We paid him like an MVP candidate but he hasn't even been an All-Star. Hopefully he finishes the year with a bang. Ellsbury/McCann/Beltran all getting their heads out of their asses is the only way this team will do anything.

What did Boone say? I think Lewis was 100% wrong and just spouting sour grapes. Rasmus made the correct play there. You hear fans, media, etc. asking out loud why more guys don't bun't and/or slap the ball the other way for what is essentially a free hit. Now a guy does it in a 2 run game and it's wrong? Sorry. You don't want him to bunt his way on then either don't shift or field it.

Talks about how it is situational and why get on base with two outs...

and wait for someone to drive you in. But when you're getting hits roughly 22% of the time you probably should take what you're given. And when you're given the entire left side of the infield in a two run game, just fucking take it.

That's just fucking stupid. Not only is he hitting .224, but he is a career .246 hitter. So, he should be swinging for the fences and/or trying to smash it through the shift? The other team is giving you first base, essentially. You are in the late innings of a close game. As long as you keep the ball fair, you represent a big insurance run. More guys should be bunting there.

I agree get rid of Roberts he is terrible. The thing I don't understand is Roberts has been awful in the field why is ryan not playing everyday for his glove alone. They both can't hit but Roberts has already made 3 errors the last 4 games he has 10 on the season..
