they are God's view. It is what is written in the Bible. Tyree has decided to make a commitment to following God's not man's ideas of what is wrong or right.
Giants also seem to think he is a good role model for players hence the position he has been given.
Charles did an amazing job helping players find meaning and purpose and Tyree will likely do the same.
Bullshit. Tyree said something not taught in any church short of the Westboro lunatics who don't have a real church. Bringing homophobia to that level should not be taken lightly.

The NFL shouldn't be having games, players shouldn't be working, on Sundays according to the bible's take on the Sabbath too.
Why are you a fan of such a heathen sport, Joe?

The moral degradation bit is not as uncommon as you think.

From the Daily news:
In his role, Tyree will provide guidance to younger players, and "aid them in continuing education, their development as young men," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said.
The pick of Tyree to fill the position held by Charles Way - who left the Giants to head the NFL's Player Engagement Department - raised eyebrows considering Tyree once said he would trade his Super Bowl championship in order to stop gay marriage.
"Honestly, I probably would," Tyree said in 2011. "Nothing means more to me than that my God would be honored. Being the fact that I firmly believe that God created and ordained marriage between a man and a woman, I believe that that's something that should be fought for at all costs.
"So I'll lay down everything I am to preserve the honor and integrity of the God that I serve."
which is of course true, but not because two dudes want to marry.
Funny that nothing will actually change for straight people--well, so little it won't be noticeable.
With the divorce rate somewhere in the 99.4% range, the idea that the union two people who actually want to be married (and, presumably, stay married) are going to destroy the institution makes me chuckle.

One of my buddies who is gay (who is now making news because his partner who died a few years back--his company (big pharma--tons of dough) didn't offer benefits to gay partners) well, they were together for 20 years and that doesn't seem to be the exception with the folks I know. BTW, the friend who died was a big Giants fan too.
I'm not sure there is anything particularly different, I'd just suppose (maybe incorrectly) that you eliminate the bulk of those who marry because of oops or because it's what they think they're supposed to do at a given point in their lives. Conversely you may have less (read: kids or, cynically, the fear of child support) bonding them together when the going gets tough. Either way it certainly will not doom marriage.

character is horrible. Preaching and proselytizing on every thread. I don't post much at all but enough is enough already, he is clearly ruining multiple threads. There is no need for any of that.
It was only gonna be a matter of time before he couldn't help
