Heard Wiggins is close to signing with Cleveland, which would prohibit him being moved for 30 days. That might give enough of a window for other teams to move in.
Wigging trumps any deal. However, the Bulls probably put together a better package than the Warriors, but it may leave our team depleted.
Personally I want to see what Mirotic, McDermott, and Snell have this year. It will be a fun team to watch grow especially if Rose plays a full season.

They can't trade him unless they sign him. So this was always going to be the case
but I am not willing to part with Gibson and Butler. I know they arent the value of Love, but they are two of the best defenders at their positions in the league. Trading those two makes Chicago's wing defenders extremely weak.

Good luck cavs... hopefully he beats his career average of sub 50 games a year.
I would not make this trade if i were the cavs. they can compete for a title this year. prime lebron... 3 pt shooting, a PG, a good 6th man in waiters, wiggins defensively, thompson ect.
Cavs have had no cohesion for a few years on the court, bench, or front office. let the kids grow with lebron and by playoff time they will be an impossible out in the east and a tough out for the west.
short sighted move imo to make a move for Love. He gets hurt, hasn't won shit, and is a poor defender. I'd just go with Wiggins and watch him grow with prime LeBron, then when LeBron slows down ideally Wiggins is entering his prime and can help carry the team
the ideal defender, but its not like he's as bad as Gasol by any means. Twolves allowed 104 points per 100 possessions with Love and 108 with Gasol. Any tibs team plays elite defense. And the Bulls need scoring to truly contend with the western conference teams, even at the risk of defense.
But I'm not sure if Love would make any guarantees to stay with Rose's knees.

lol.
I dont understand whats so funny about this? Trading for Love gives them 3 PF, and the likes of McDermott, Snell, and Dunleavy to play the 2-3 spots. Who is going to defend out of those 3? One of the reasons why Thibs loves Taj is because he is versatile enough to guard perimeter defenders in switches and hold his own. The 4 spot of Gasol, Love, and Mirotic makes them extremely weak defensively at the 3, 4, 5.
That trade makes little to no sense for the Bulls.
Ive heard on the Love situation is that as Lebron progresses, he will be better suited as a PF than a SF. In fact, he was playing a fair amount of PF in the playoffs this year with Bosh at the 5. That would be a potential problem with Love-Lebron.
Kevin Love has played in 256 regular season games
Derek rose has played in 289.
any questions?
to be fair he is ahead of greg oden who has only played 109
Yes trade 2 #1 overall picks (1 who is essentially a rookie again after being hurt to start last year and the other who is supposed to be a franchise player) and some draft choices.... for a guy who cant stay on the floor and wants max money.
can't play the 4 regularly. He can do it against teams that don't have scoring/bruising 4's and in short spells against anybody. But the big PFs who can score will give him problems. He's among the most versatile defenders of all-time, but when he guards off-position it's for stretches, not as his regular job. He did a good job against West in one of the 4th quarters against Indy, and it pretty much won the game for Miami because West had to guard Allen who lit it up. But he just can't do it for the whole game.
Plus his D is slowing down anyway, especially in the regular season. Going off-position would be a horrible idea.
I'd like to see the Cavs stick with Wiggins and the rest of the young guys. It will be fun to see what Lebron can do with them and it gives them flexibility if they want to change things up. If they pull the trigger on Love, that's basically the core for the next few years. And it's just kind of a reshuffled Miami with 3 stars and serious weaknesses around them. Obviously you can win with that, but I'd prefer to see something different.
I never bought it but apparently everyone is saying it's totally fake. Man, that would be incredible adding Monroe for Smith and a 1st... which is why it wasn't believable. Monroe is the perfect triangle big.
is the guy I want next off-season. Not Marc Gasol. Rumor is he wont even look to sign an offer sheet elsewhere this summer because he wants to leave the Pistons and knows they would match
is 24 years old (just turned) 15 and 9 on 50% from the field, outside of being a meh shotblocker he does everything else you could ask for. Soft hands, passer, smart player... sorry not great at the line but most non-perimeter bigs have that issue. 17 and 10 second half and remember some of his stats are poached by Josh Smith/Drummond. I think he has a legit shot to be an 18 and 10+ big for someone.

It's potential signings like this that are why I remain quite hopeful. Everybody asks what stars are available in 2015, but there's not a team in the league that wouldn't take monroe, yet nobody's talking about him.
He's raw as hell offensively but should still be a beast in transition who can hit 3s at an acceptable rate while providing solid D. Love is a great player but I totally agree that there are question marks surrounding him. Love/Kyrie is a no-D injury prone duo with no playoff experience. LeBron shouldn't go all in with that duo. Let Wiggins develop and target Marc Gasol in free agency next year.
Are we really going to start this up again?

They'd be better off with Wiggins and nothing else than that

He played some 4 with the Heat because they had no center and had to go small.
His best position by far is SF. He would be better off playing PG going forward than PF
