A few things that peaked my interest...

- Schwartz isn't moving to RG?
- Holliday seems like its his return job too lose
- why Randle is still returning punts?
- Nice to hear Beatty, Manningham and Wilson all getting reps
wow

like these reports, please donate to BBI.

I need to send Connor $$$ for gas money driving back and forth to the stadium.
Hopefully one of the TEs starts to emerge...

only one or two of those mentions were remotely positive. Nice write-up though.

No tight end stood out.
You did a pretty job of conveying that...

I was just hoping that one of them will start to shine going forward. Appreciate the article though, very thorough.
excellent report

thank you connor and eric
Eric, in your article on the story of the 2014 Giants,
Reese's Pieces : 7/22/2014 11:21 pm : link
you give the optimist view and the pessimist view, but you don't say which side that you are on. Do you believe, as do almost 60% of BBI voters, that the Giants will win at least ten games this year? Especially with the news on Beason?

Somehow I doubt that you do.

The Giants need more pessimistic fans because they always play their best when they are given no shot. Last season John Clayton picked the Giants to win it all again. I knew right then that we had no chance.

You have done an amazing job with this site. Just looking at the quality and the quantity of the ads here from just a couple of years ago. And you have achieved semi-formal recognition from the Giants' organization. Expect to see you on the air with Hanlon and Papa very soon.

Pretty soon you can quit your day job.
good

report.
Connor thx for answers

At the time I submitted I thought Wilson, Jerry, Beatty and MM would be held out. Glad to see they are ready from day one. Interested in hearing about Herman. I think he has some potential as a short yardage guard. He had some good moments last pre-season.
Eli has always been good at moving in the pocket
fkap : 7/23/2014 9:47 am : link
the problem is when there is no pocket and he's forced to run. Add in a no hitting the QB policy, and 'juking' takes on a whole new meaning.

I think Conner meant to say Beckham reminded him of an early Nicks in extending for the catch. We haven't seen that from Nicks in a couple of years.

Also, I think it's a little harsh to be disappointed in giving up on a play when the WR then limps off the field. In practice, a #1 draft pick is in no danger of losing his job, so he should pull up if something doesn't feel right. Why risk further damage? Playing through pain is a nice motto, until a player expected to make a contribution does enough damage to then miss time.

Otherwise, love the format.

Agreed. I was trying to look for something positive, but all looked so pedestrian.
Was Trindon's job ever in doubt?
GiantFilthy : 7/23/2014 10:09 am : link
Maybe I've just had the wrong impression. I thought it was pretty much a lock that he's the man for the job unless he fumbles his way off the field.
I dig reading the Manningham stuff
lono801 : 7/23/2014 10:20 am : link
Always been a fan...I hope he can put the injuries behind him.

Other than ' The Catch' his sideline foot work seemed to be glossed over around here. To my eye...his sideline toe taps were as good as Toomer's...
Weird that Kellen Davis of all the TEs looked slow
Ten Ton Hammer : 7/23/2014 10:49 am : link
You'd think he'd have the most to gain from coming in at peak conditioning and making the young guys look bad.
good read
Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 7/23/2014 12:24 pm : link
love the comments about Beckham playing bigger than his size a la Nicks. That was something a lot of people mentioned around the draft and it's good to see that translate onto the field in camp.

Andre Williams + David Wilson feels like it has so much potential as a duo. Crossing my fingers that those two can both contribute.

maybe doesn't have great moves but his highlights show a guy who gets open and catches the ball.
TTH,
GiantFilthy : 7/23/2014 2:14 pm : link
I'm sure it's because he blew out both hamstrings and has a high ankle sprain. We should be hearing about it shortly.
