Potential #1 overall 2015 pick Emmanuel Mudiay is skipping college to play 1 year in China (1.2 million). He cited financial issues (though many think the prep school where he went was the issue) and I think China is a fantastic choice given the future potential marketing ability.

I'm firmly in the camp that Cleveland all but guaranteed LeBron that they would trade for Love. I think these leaks get the Cavs to blink and include a 2nd 1st with Bennett/Wiggins.
I honestly think Flip Saunders is going to wait as long as he can before he trades Love. I think he'll try and convince him to stay first because odds are none of these guys will come close to replacing him.

The Wolves are probably a top 4-5 seed in the East these past few seasons and that's with Love surrounded by crap.
Bulls have offered Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic to the Wolves for Kevin Love. (via @sheridanhoops)
taking Love out of this for a second, does any team in the league trade just Wiggins straight up for that offer?
Where did you hear the stuff about Barea and Waiters? I've heard from local MN radio that the Wolves want them to take Martin only and that they are asking for Bennett/Wiggins (supposedly Cavs are willing to deal those 2) plus multiple 1st round picks. The hold ups are the picks and Martin.
You picked what looks to be a photoshopped poster.
Quote:
the Wolves on want whoever gets Love to take on Martin and Barrea as well...i think thats why the Cavs are hesitating...not only is MInnesota want Wiggins Waiters Bennet AND 1st round picks but they also want them to take on Martin or Barrea

Woj has mentioned it multiple times that the Wolves are sitll asking for a lot in negotiations even with Wiggins in the deal...he said the hold up is the picks...
he said Wolves want Wiggins Waiters and Bennet with the multiple picks and they want to unload Martin or Barrea...thats why the Cavs made the deal for the non guaranteed contracts
I havnt changed my stance i still think he is going to be stud stretch 4...has range all the way to the 3 point line...
Needs to get stronger though, needs to rebound better and his defense will need to improve when playing for Thibs...he is not a 5 in the NBA right now to weak and not a rim protector...

Oh ok, I thought you meant Martin and Barea.
I haven't heard about them wanting Waiters either (though not surprised). Definitely agree that the picks is the holdup though.
I believe it's 90 days
Because basketball is played on both ends of the floor. What good is stopping someone if you can't score?
And although he slipped a little last season (could be the effect of playing for MDA) Gasol has been a pretty solid defender for most of his career.
Rose Butler Dunleavy Gibson Noah will probably close games for the Bulls...
I dont think Gasol will have to worry about big minutes....he is going to get the Boozer treatment start the game and the scond half play entire 1st and 3rd and then sit 2nd and 4th for Gibson and Noah...
Love might hurt on defense, but he's going to bolster the rebounding AND the offense enough to offset that. Similar to what adding Carmelo would've done for them.
Adding All-Star to Superstar level talent never hurts your team. Plus having Thibs there those guys will defend better than they ever have before. Look at what JVG did for players like Allan Houston and Larry Johnson. Neither were good defensive players but JVG got Houston to play better defense and got LJ to become one of the better defenders on those Knick teams.
But we had 9 too. So you still had to defend.
He won't have that option with Love and that's going to be an interesting dynamic to see play out if he goes there.
I really like Love. I defended him during the season when others called him overrated. He's an absolutely elite offensive player. His combination of 3pt shooting and rebounding is straight up historic. But the injuries and awful defense are definitely holes in his game. Still, I consider him the 2nd best PF in the game to Blake Griffin. Aldridge is up there too but I think I'd go Love in that comparison. Anthony Davis is going to run the league in a couple of years and lap these above 3 guys soon enough, but I can't put him above Love yet.
Wiggins has legitimate star potential. That's the only way teams like Minnesota win big, is if they hit the jackpot on a player. The chances of that are much higher with Wiggins than they are any player the Bulls want to give.

LOS ANGELES (AP) The interim CEO of the Los Angeles Clippers testified Tuesday that coach Doc Rivers told him he will quit if Donald Sterling remains the owner of the team.
CEO Richard Parsons testified at a trial to determine whether Sterlings wife, Shelly, can sell the team for $2 billion to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer as the NBA looks to force Donald Sterling from the league over racist statements.
Doc is troubled by this maybe more so than anybody else, Parsons said about Rivers, who is black. If Mr. Sterling continues as owner, he does not want to continue as coach.
Parsons said he fears there would also be an exodus of key players, including team captain Chris Paul, who heads the NBA players union.
The judge stopped Parsons from giving an account of his conversations with Paul when an NBA lawyer objected over privacy issues.
I think that applies to draft picks. Not sure if it's different for FAs.
Free Agents are 90 days from signing or December 15th - whichever is the later date. Draft picks are 30 days from signing.
