with Mook as well.. except if they win a SB in the next 1-2 years. At which point... deal with it.
As the entire offense of that team

Like AP, he needed to get paid! Although I hope they front loaded it!
He was so clearly underpaid that there was plenty of room...

...for the Chiefs to do the right thing without committing a huge amount of guaranteed cash.

2 year extension. Hardly a franchise crippling deal.
Fantastic

deal

Chiefs signed RB Jamaal Charles to a two-year, $18.1 million contract extension through 2017.
So much for that holdout. Charles is now the second-highest paid running back in the league behind Adrian Peterson and is locked up through his age-31 campaign. The Chiefs' first practice is Thursday. On his previous deal, Charles was scheduled to make $3.65 million in salary and bonuses this season. There's a good chance he doubled that on his new contract. And it's well deserved after Charles put the Chiefs' offense on his back and carried them to the playoffs in 2013. Charles is entering his age-28 season. He's a top-three fantasy back.

so wait, before even knowing the deal

it's a bad idea for the chiefs?

Regardless of the terms or getting their franchise player back on the field, they will regret it. ok.
The chiefs may regret the deal

But I sure as fuck won't! I own Charles in a keeper league.
And they won't regret the deal

Unless Charles gets hurt . That's the NFL.
