A source tells Scout.com's Kyle Bogenschutz that the Rangers have agreed to trade Joakim Soria to the Tigers.
Bogenschutz hears Corey Knebel and Jake Thompson, two right-handers in the Tigers' system, will go the other way in the deal. In Soria, the Tigers are acquiring a pitcher with a 2.70 ERA and 0.87 WHIP who has saved 17 games for the Rangers this season. Given Joe Nathan's struggles in Detroit, Soria could immediately take over as the ninth-inning reliever for the Tigers.

Why waste your time responding to Stan?
Agree with you but just as an aside, FIP is not park adjusted. FIP- and xFIP- is though, and he's a top 30 pitcher in both those stats as well.

Towers is a horrible GM. He also "dumped" Justin Upton etc. #2 There are stats that take away the "ballpark" effect. Kennedy has a 3.10 FIP aka he's been very good, ballpark or not. He stunk last year in Arizona, was solid the year prior and was very good in 2011... in Arizona. Kennedy is striking out more hitters than ever... and no fluke.. his velocity is the best it's ever been (again ballpark doesn't make you throw harder).... oh yeah... road era 3.18, 1.16 whip... home 4.18, whip 1.28... but hey it's all PETCO...

You are right. xFIP is park adjusted. My mistake. Either way, I'm not suggesting Kennedy is a stud, but he's very solid and having a good year regardless of the park + team controlled.
I wouldn't trade those guys for Kennedy, no way. I was mostly just chiming in on the Kennedy sucks/No he doesn't argument.
He should be costly. he's arb eligible so you can keep him for a year if he accepts arb or get a pick if he doesn't. And regardless of how good he is, he's a pretty reliable innings eating horse.

No xFIP isn't park adjusted. xFIP is HR rate adjusted based on the amount of fly balls you have up vs league average home run rate.
A stat is only park/league adjusted with a +/- at the end.
Overwhelmed???
I'll give you a six-pack and even that's too much.
Bowden also claims Yanks are asking about Jorge de la Rosa...why?
