Interesting that they are stating this and don't seem to have much useful information about it.

The Police Security Service "recently received information that individuals affiliated with an extreme Islamist group in Syria may have the intention of carrying out a terrorist action in Norway
I don't have time to post it right now but I am working on a 10 page treatise on how, if you trace things back historically, Norwegians and, in particular Viking ideology and plunder policies, set the stage for Islamic fundamentalism and cause vituperative hatred against Israel and brought terrorist attacks upon themselves.

HA! Hey, were the Vikings involved in the Crusades? That could be why. Imperialistic bastards.
My high school's mascot was a crusader and I always thought
Hmmm...since majority of terrorist activities in our nation's history has been domestic, I would have to disagree with you. But hey, since you only looked at the past two decades or so to form your view, who am I to argue? Amirite?

So, is France a major world power because of the Napoleonic army?
(I don't have a side on the "what other kind" question, but of course, the claim was about current time.)

I'm sure that's a very simplistic and convenient way to look at terrorism if one chooses not to look at terrorism as a tool used by extremists of any kind.
Lest we forget that the last time that Norway was the target of a terrorist attack, it was actually an extremist, who was against increased Islamic presence in Norway. But yes, lets go the simpleton route here.
And no, I'm not attacking your post as much as the lazy way people view the threats we deal with just because they are unable to think beyond their ideology.
Ronnie. in a way I have often thought of that Napoleon metaphor in relation to claims that something is relevant, but owing to long gone historical features. but your point is that its its not long gone at all. And you're right it a lazy over simplification.
Neither does his hawt warrior-princess wife

I think the ones you named confine their activities to their own country. Just sayin
He didn't asked whether there's any other kind of international terrorism, though.
Days earlier letter bombs had been delivered to offices in Hampshire, Kent and Berkshire.
Massareene Barracks shooting doesn't count, huh?
