he was arguably the best player on our team last year. I'm so pissed off at him.
But I hope he gets his shit together and figures it out. I'm glad he's out of the NFC and I hope he grows up in Baltimore. He could be an All Pro if he ever gets his priorities straight.
Being cut could be the kick in the ass he needed Â

You're not in the same position they are in. You have to grow up faster than your pals, so you can't go home and run with your pals and think you're in the same place that they're in. It's a privilege to have a job like this."
It comes down to winning...the Ravens need safeties
@RavensInsider: Ozzie Newsome on Will Hill: 'If we need it, Will will provide depth in the middle of the season.'
@BenVolin: #Ravens sign Will Hill. Ozzie Newsome loves those #Gators safeties
@RapSheet: The #Ravens sign talented and suspended safety Will Hill. He’ll sit out the first 6 games. But seems like he found a good landing spot
@art_stapleton: Remember: Will Hill was not solely released by #NYG because of drug suspension despite what some would like to believe. It was reliability.
some team in the division. It will suck if he turns this around for another team in the football sense. It would really suck if he turned it around for the Eagles, Cowboys, or Redskins.
as the Will Hill cut. I thought Joey in VA's thread about the "going to c**p" offseason was premature when he posted it, but after Hill's departure, I was pretty much of the same mind.
The non-selection of Aaron Donald may overtake the Hill cut, if Donald turns into a star, though. But ODB's gametape sure looks terrific.
...an organization noted for the support it provides to players, why would he suddenly change when he goes to an loose franchise that currently is seeing a spate of arrests?
RE: if Will Hill couldn't get his shit together with the Giants.... Â

Because sometimes, it finally clicks with certain guys and they realize they're really down to their last chance.
I wouldn't bet on it or say the odds are in his favor but it's entirely possible and won't surprise me at all. If he blows this, he'll never get another chance and his NFL career is over.
could clean his act up and become a HOF player, and I still wouldn't fault the Giants for cutting him. They gave him one chance after another, after another, after another. He has awesome talent, but he's just an irresponsible, selfish, pothead.

Glad he's not in the NFC East.
It wouldn't surprise me if he turned things around....also wouldn't surprise me to hear he failed another test though
Just don't see it. Not getting drafted didn't seem to help. Nor his last suspension. Wasted ability which is sadly not uncommon. Maybe he turns it around but I don't think he gets it.
Will Hill was seen celebrating after signing with the Ravens. Â
and I'm disappointed that the Giatns had to cut him but Stapleton is probably on the money saying that it wasn't just the weed so let's not make it out to be only that. What we already know is already is his past behavior in college during his original draft interviews, his failure to pay child support and his reported trashing of the apartment he was renting. He didn't kill anybody (that we know of) but the Giants made a decision that he wasn't worth the aggravation despite his amazing talent.
certain situations for it to happen. The Giants organization in no heaven. Not everyone that played for this team was devoid of drug problems. They have had their share also..
I just hope for the person, Will Hill get's his stuff together and becomes a better, drug-free individual..
You can see that it made a huge difference once he came back. We should have kept him, but regardless staying in Jersey he was never gonna improve... Hopefully he gets it together in Baltimore... Any how with the improvements in our secondary I have no problems letting him go...
My guess is that Hill comes back and plays great Â
Any of you have kids? Think they've ever done pot? It's not quite the same as rape or murder. If either of my sons smoked weed (probably have) I think I'd still be on their side and wouldn't be ready to write them off.
Personally, I hope Will can stay clean and reach his potential as a football player in Baltimore. I was sorry to see the Giants let him go, but certainly understood the decision....he's not someone you can count on. Nonetheless I wish him good luck in football and in life.
was a rash decision and they should have kept him. A correct decision won't haunt you just because he comes back and plays well for another team. The Giants took a chance on him and he repaid them with repeated stupidity. You don't look back and regret ridding yourself of a guy who repeatedly screws you, no matter what.
But I hope he gets his shit together and figures it out. I'm glad he's out of the NFC and I hope he grows up in Baltimore. He could be an All Pro if he ever gets his priorities straight.

I know this is a BBI mantra that gets picked on, but I'm going to use it for the first time.
Cutting Will Hill is going to come back to haunt us.
That said, I won't be surprised at all if he winds up being a stud in BAL.

Yeah I don't blame the Giants (anymore), but I still think we would have been better off with him than without.

The "war on drugs" still throwing people into prison for smoking weed? Thought they figured out better ways to waste our tax money?
In Baltimore, and with his relaxation method, someone is likely to.
If it doesn't work out no harm no foul

Probably not, but with the Ravens there's a fighting chance he'll graduate to something more serious.
He won't
Will Hill is much more likely to haunt whatever team he's on.

What if he loves irony even more than weed?

But if someone were giving odds on him getting a one year suspension, I know which way I would bet. Large.
I was a big supporter, and hope I am wrong, for Hills sake, but the reason he isn't a Giant isn't for lack of second chances.
