That's really cool of James II

Especially since he's competing with Jackson for a job
Nice story.

Sounds like two nice guys to have around, if possible.

One note.

His initial struggles came from the transition of constantly running forward, to moving fluently backwards.

I think you mean fluidly ...
It's always fun to catch someone out on mistakes in diction,

vibo, but yaknowwhat? English is famous for it words with multiple meanings.

From the Oxford Dictionary for fluent, 2: Smoothly graceful and effortless:
his style of play was fast and fluent.

Swing and a miss...

I still doubt he winds up top 6 among this crop.
one way you help yourself

is to help others. Unless you're a star, you typically need every bit of checkmark in the plus column. helping your teammate is a huge plus.

I wouldn't be surprised if he made it... I had both him and James making it with McBride gone... I know I'm in the minority there.

BTW, you were missed on Friday!

Fluent is used primarily referring to language. Fluid is used primarily for motion. Note, I didn't say his usage was wrong. Just that when you're reaching down to the third possible definition of a word, one has probably gone too far.

But, hey. Good job not finding a way to shoehorn--a word that functions equally well as a verb and a noun- in a reference to your wine in here. It's important to develop secondary skills. Keep at it.
Umm, that's the 2nd definition from the Oxford I quoted above.

Swing and a miss strike two.

Oh and you didn't say his usage was wrong?

You sure as hell implied it.

We'll call that a foul tip, still 0 and 2.
