Tomorrow our not so baby boy leaves tomorrow for basic training. He had made the decision to join the National Guard to help with his education. After several months of preparing the day has finally arrived for him to leave. He will be doing 9 weeks of basic at Fort Jackson South Carolina followed by 12 weeks AIT training at Fort Sill Oklahoma. This is his first time away from home so we are saddened we won't be seeing him for awhile but couldn't be happier and prouder that he has taken the bull by the horns to start the next phase of his life.
