Really, JW, I had a lot of hope for this guy after his rookie season.....but the guy just does not make plays....outside of the ST's play in the playoff in SF, can anyone remember a play he has made?
Not to mention the fact he sucks at the point of attack....
I have never seen a guy get so much praise for his speed and coverage skills, and yet never sniffed an int....
Actually, he has made some plays and he has flashed. Â
I think he's just got to become more consistent. I've mentioned him a few times these last few weeks because I feel like he's been getting lost in the shuffle somewhat but has the ability to get some significant time on the weak side. I know a lot of people are high on Kennard and it's assumed that McClain will play on the strong side but I think if JW stays healthy, this might be the year he kind of puts it together.
as I did Nicks, after the second Cowboys game last year. On a key 3rd down play Witten spun off his inside foot, uncovered, and ran away from Williams for a crucial first down. That was it for me. I am not buying in. Yeah, he has made some high-profile plays, but he has also had many mistakes.
The 2015 UFA LB market is a mixed bag, heavier on 3-4 OLBs than 4-3 OLBs, but I still think he needs to have a pretty good year if he expects to stick around after this season.
The 2011 run proved he was the goods. A flawed player, sure, but one with a rare and significant skill set.
OTOH, at 6-3 and 224 I wouldn't say he has ideal size for a LB. He may develop skills, but he's probably never gonna be a plus player at the POA.
This is a guy who made a major contribution to a super bowl run in his rookie year. Promotion to starter status indicates Giants think he can do it again.
You all do realize that players mature and improve with time yes? You all would have counted out Amani Toomer, Michael Strahan, Jessie Armstead, all players who took time to develop because this isn't fantasy football or instant gratification Sunday.
The stupidity around here never ceases to amaze me

Either way, he will forever be in Giants history for this...

He and I both understand that.

The list could go on too!

He weighs 245.
