"Nassib made some nice throws, but also missed several makable ones, and showed happy feet in the pocket, taking off to run quickly. His finest moment came in 11-on-11 drills, when he hit Marcus Harris up the seam for a long touchdown."
In 7 on 7s there is no pass rush and no pressure. The QB has good sight lines for the QB because there are no linemen in the way, and the receivers are one on one with the defenders, meaning that the DBs don't have any help. If a receiver can't beat a defender one on one, he should not be on the team. There should be a completion on EVERY SINGLE 7 on 7 play.
Thus, if a WR makes a catch, it's good, but not great, because it is expected considering the receiver's advantage. But if a DB makes a pass defense, or an interception it is a great play. If the QB makes a mistake on his throw because of bad mechanics or bad judgment, it is significant because unlike the 11 on 11s, the QB has every advantage.
The defense is playing as well during pass skelly. They will make plays just like the offense will, at times too. I don't have expectations that the offense should be making plays, and WRs should be catching the ball every single time. That's like saying the basketball players should be making everyone single free throw. Shit happens. Defense makes plays, and if they see what kind of concepts and stuff you're working on, they tend to know what's coming.
was that his ball placement was inconsistent, as the was in the ball was not always delivered on the numbers but of one shoulder or another, or a little low or a little high.
