been going on. There were times when they outdid WWE as far as product in the ring. They had young, athletic, fast, good looking talent. Motor City Machine Guns, Beer Money, a superior women's stable (Mickie James, Winter, Awesome Kong, Gail Kim, Tara), Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Magnus. Yet once they hired Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff to run things, that young talent had to be pushed down to share time with the likes of Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, the Nasty Boys, the original ECW, basically a whole bunch of old guys who had their careers and couldn't let go. The had their own ingrown talent but pissed them away for the past.
They did story lines like Hogan and Nash rehashing the NWO stuff from fucking 1998! They did an ECW takeover angle. They did a movie style kidnapping with Samoa Joe wherein Joe is kidnapped by ninjas. Fat ninjas who had to pull their pants up after walking away from the van. This was never brought up again.
Their first live broadcast had a ridiculous strip poker thing with the girls but, we know they aren't going to get naked. The main event that night was a Cage Match in a bright red caged dome, with bars so thick a TV audience couldn't possible see what was going on. The object is to be able to climb out of the dome through an opening at the top. All the other wrestlers had to be laid out to allow the last man standing to climb out. Except after working in the ring for half-an-hour, the person (can't remember who) who was supposed to win was so fucking tired he couldn't make that upside down climb out of that monstrosity. He ended up falling down onto the mat because he was exhausted after 10 minutes of trying to pull himself out of that dome. The other wrestlers were laid out on the ground for 5 minutes more before they decided, "Fuck it, let's rumble again," and got up and just hammered each other some more. This hilarity ended when the body of a non-drugged out Jeff Hardy walked into the ring/dome and just climbed out. He was fresh, he made it out. The End. The End of Wrestling if that was your first time watching televised wrestling.
Oddly enough, there was a time when TNA outperformed WWE in television ratings in the U.K.
don't buy that Vince Russo stuff even 1%. Still possible another network picks up TNA. Last I heard TNA still brought in 1.0+ per week which means at the right price there should be interest.

They were in negotiations and then as soon as the Russo news hit, that was it, deal was cutoff.
WWE didn't get anywhere near the deal they were looking for from NBCUniversal, so this might spell the end.
whomever is spotting/putting up Jeff Jarrett's money buys TNA? I wonder if Spike is opting to go with Jarrett's company to begin with. He claims to have "multiple" cable companies interested.
I feel like they need to have some sort of well-defined niche'. Either be like ECW and have hardcore, bloody, gory matches or maybe make it an all-women's promotion. And I say that as a huge fan of many of the talent in TNA (Austin Aries, Eric Young, Bubba Ray Dudley, Robert Roode, etc.). But the writing in TNA is awful, the story lines are awful, the promos are awful...the matches are hit-or-miss. But overall, every time I watch, it feels like a bunch of teenagers are directing and writing each show.
And it's an absolutely stupid idea to tape Impacts weeks in advance. I'm sure many fans don't tune in to watch because they could just read the results online (which was the WWE's problem when it was pitted against WCW before it went live)
Bob Carter has invested millions in the company and has seen zero return, other than making his daughter happy I suppose.
At the moment, TNA is in a last ditch effort for the next 8 weeks trying to find a new television deal. It doesn't look good however, because even if they're able to get one (lets just say ION for argument sake), there's no way they can get the same kind of money that Spike was doling out. TNA has been in rough shape financially, so taking a pay cut makes it seem like they're hanging on by a string.
Looking around, there are not many places with lots of spots for talent. WWE has rarely shown a ton of interest in TNA guys, though they obviously did with Bobby Roode, Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards (and of course Angle and Jeff Hardy). ROH doesn't have open spots, Japan may work for a few guys (Samoa Joe, Roode, etc.). But, that means the bulk of guys and girls who hope to continue wrestling will have to go back to the indies and take what they can get.
agree they should go back to the live impacts every week .TNA has good wrestlers they always have and agree the writing sucks but it has gotten better over the past month or so or since the Pennsylvania and new york tapings.Iam a huge fan of EC3 i liked him when he was in WWE and FCW he is a good talent and iam surprised wwe got rid of him .
suspect WWE still signs some of the TNA guys since they have them over a barrel (aka you ARE going to NXT). They have at least 10-12 guys WWE could make use of.

Sure. I could see Vince signing guys like Austin Aries, Robert Roode, Magnus (I think Magnus is tailor-made for the WWE. I think if given the opportunity, he could be a big star), Eric Young (for a comedy role, unfortunately), Abyss... They could also try for TNA legends like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe to generate a bit of buzz.
It's not a lack of talent that's holding TNA back. It's a lack of direction and terrible writing.
He's been making a ton of money on the indies and New Japan.
Samoa Joe is not made for WWE at this point unfortunately. Too big, not as mobile as he once was. He's one of the few who could definitely make plenty of money outside the E.
WWE isn't likely able to sign 10-12 guys right now.
They've stopped paying for their stage/road crew's travel, thanks to how they're on track to lose so much money on the network, and probably about to do another round of cuts on their existing contracted talent sometimes in the next month or so after the latest subscriber numbers are released this week.

I know, but the E could, at some point, want to generate some pub. AJ and Joe could give the IWC a lot of excitement and even the kids who watch TNA. I have no idea when AJ's contract expires and he'll probably prefer to go to Double J's promotion over the WWE, but it is an option.
Joe'll be fine, but I could see him having a one year run in the E like Goldberg did. You know, that no-bullshit guy...and I'm sure people will want to see him crush Cena (though, let's face it, in the end, he'd put over Cena).
apparently has a good relationship with Bubba, I think he's still a big enough name that bringing him in would make sense. He can still be an upper mid-carder with a main event run on a second/third tier PPV aka Bubba feuding with an Orton or Cena briefly.
If I were Vince I would add
Abyss (great size, can really work for a guy that big. Make him the 4th member of Wyatt's family, great fit)
Aries
Bobby Roode
Eric Young
James Storm
Samoa Joe
Jeff Hardy (never been a huge Jeff Hardy guy but the guy remains insanely popular)
Sanada
Magnus
Kurt Angle
Reason why many picked TNA over WWE was the schedule
doesn't like Bully much. If Bully goes back, he'll be jobbed out like RVD is being used.
Also part of Jeff Jarret's deal to leave TNA involved him not going after that timeslot anytime soon.
I don't see any of the known 'names' in TNA drawing much WWE interest.
Tenay should but probably won't. Ditto Taz.
Bobby Roode should but won't due to age and perceived blandness.
Magnus might he has nationality thing going for him.
None of the girls except Madison and Brittany likely will be of interest. WWE is already said to be close to signing Thea Trinidad aka Rosita.
Spike apparently hates Russo and TNA thought they could keep it a secret that he has been involved in the writing.

Once they hired Hogan and Bischoff, it was over.. They just kill organizations
unless there is actually ts and A's... there was none

There certainly are and were some smokin' hot chicks though. Brittany, Rebel, Velvet Sky... Mmmmm

I doubt half of them will go to WWE but now WWE has all the power.... take it or leave it!
As for the WWE, i would take their show and put it on their network... will get them the buys they need to put their subscribers over the top
They're of absolutely no value to Vince as a brand.
