I don't flip to the NFL channel very often because it truly sucks.
The latest thing is a clip of Warren Sapp mic-ed up and acting drunk or high.
THe female announcer says "who couldn't love Warren Sapp"
the answer is me and 95% of the people watching
----he is a fucking clown and the worst part of that channel
Why is he still there!
Damn lets have more best dishwasher to buy,
and how much do you give the tooth fairy threads
but lets not discuss something football related
My only guess is that NFLN is waiting for Sapp's contract to expire and then go in a different direction.
He can't relate one thought to the next and follow a logical progression.
He sucks.
Near as I can tell, NFLN does not have an online way to field complaints about programming or content. I love the channel, but Warren Sapp does make it much less watchable.
Without exception, I turn the channel or fast forward over him every single time he comes on. I don't appreciate a thing he has to say
My suspicion is NFLN keeps these guys because people hate them so much they tune just to see what stupid things they will say.

The "First Take" theory.
Were the Cowboys one of the 5?
I suspect it is the latter because I find his statements are not based on knowledge or facts, like Irvin, but based on his perception of things.
Yes, I guess he is entertaining in that way but not in the way a good analyst should be.

He's entertaining because of the enthusiasm and personality ...and that's not a small thing in an entertainment medium. As far as analysis, he's not the sharpest guy there, but I'm not nearly as critical as some of you and I think he does add something to the show. I think that non-stop cold lifeless analysis doesn't necessarily make for the most enjoyable show. As long as they do in fact have good analysts, I think he's fine. If he was the best they had to offer, that's something else.
Just awful television. I do not watch pregame shows anymore.

I object to being called "the lowest common denominator"!

is a great example of their choice for supposed style (pop and sizzle, flamboyant personality, whatever you want to call it) over substance. At this point other than a handful of film/match up shows during the season and the documentaries in the offseason it's like Football TMZ. In the attempt to grow the sport they've made no qualms about pandering to the lowest common denominator to bring in more fans. Sapp could very well be the face of this.

Honestly, Mike, you did yourself no favors by expressing anything positive about Sapp. . .
Imagine if NFL Films was running now? The NFL Network would have more programming than re-runs we've seen for the 8th straight time, or Warren Sapp and Michael Irvin's colorful commentary, or really just being a sad, pathetic ESPN Lite. We'd view a football game as drama, rather than the arrests of a Baltimore Raven, or Jerry Jones' legendary status, or something the Steelers did to make us forget Roethlisberger may be a rapist, or those fun loving Harbaughs.

I have no problem with the thread, but I think calling it football related is a stretch.
I was just going to post the same exact thing, verbatim.
I don't know what that says and if I should be scared or just yell "Jinx" and get the hell outta here.

FMiC, this was my first thought as well!
