So obviously I have some questions about my team/situation, but it's getting to the time of year where draft dates are being set, keepers designated, etc.

My draft is 8/23 and we have two keepers.

my 2 questions are this.

1. I am keeping Julio Jones for a 8th round pick. I'm also considering keeping Percy Harvin. Many on here said stay away from him, but his average draft position is much higher in PPR leagues. he'd cost me a 7th or flip flop he and Jones, JOnes is a 7th and Havin an 8th (doesn't matter).

I have no other real keeper options unless I want to use a 1st on McCoy (who I I could prob re-draft so that would be dumb), a 1st on AP (see McCoy) or a 9th on DeAndre Hopkins who I don't like his QB situation. So, does Harvin make sense at all? I could keep no one and keep my 7th round pick. But in looking through mock drafts here Harvin is a 4th/5th round pick.

Who do you expect i'd be able to get instead?

2. I have the 2nd pick in the first round and assume i keep Jones and Harvin, best available players are McCoy, AP, Megatron, Forte, Marshawn Lynch, Dez bryant, AJ Green...

I feel like I need to go RB, so I think McCoy goes #1, who do you take? Forte? Megatron seems awfully hard to pass up.

Anyway, just wanted the thread to discuss FFL.

I think Forte is the safest of the four elite RBs

McCoy now has Sproles to take carries, Charles lost three starting OLs, AP coming off an injury-riddled, disappointing 2013. The arrow is 100% pointing up on Forte, second year in a friendly Trestman scheme, getting goal-line carries, etc

Harvin is good value for a 7th rounder. Obviously you just have to realize going in that he might be a complete bust. However, if he stays healthy most of the year, it's amazing value.

I would also take Forte with your first pick. Starting w/ 3 WR is tempting (is it PPR?) but I would not pass up Forte this year (especially if it's PPR).

Forte had more point in my league than all RB's except Charles - who is being kept.

AP's injuries scare me, but he should only be better in that new offense. Its a gut pick, IMO.

Forte i've always loved. Just a machine back there.

QB tiers

I'm in a keeper league where we can keep up to four of our players from last year's roster. I did not keep my quarterback and am wrestling with the QB depth and whether it makes sense to take one early or not.

1st tier--Brees, Rodgers, P. Manning
2nd tier--Brady, Luck, Stafford, Newton
3rd tier--Ryan, Wilson, Kaepernick
4th tier-Rivers, Cutler, Foles, Palmer

I'd really appreciate other opinions on these. I think I'm gonna wait around for a QB and try and find value later in the draft

You're missing Romo, unless you have him lower than the tiers.

I generally get QB's later once the top 3 are gone.

If I had a chance at Peyton or Brees I'd consider them early(er), but the rest I get mid-round.

yea forgot about Romo, probably in that 4th tier, also 4 pt. for passing TD.
