Diaz has been out so long so its kinda a wash that Anderson is coming off the injury. HIS best advantage might be w his BJJ which translates better than SIlva's in MMA but he has no ability to take Silva down IMO. Also trying to get close to Silva is going to be a huge issue.
Dana White also went into the realm of fantasy saying Diaz would be in the title picture w a win over Siva.
I'd love to Diaz vs any of the top 5 guys at 185. SIze difference alone he'd be at a huge disadvantage. Giving up IMO a good 20-30 pounds come fight time vs guys like Weidman, Jacare, and Rcokhold. Machida would kill him standing too. He only has a three fight deal so win or lose vs Silva they should get at least two fights from him before he gores moron again.
Who knows whether he's retaining everything that made him so difficult to fight before the leg break. On the surface, if both guys are healthy, Anderson mops the floor with Diaz.
But it just seems that when a longtime champ finally gets beat, they seem to have a couple of losses in a row. Would love to see the spider with a great comeback though.
