Taylor could be the biggest surprise of the season

If he can stay healthy and live up to his potential he will be a solid contributor for the defense. He should get a lot of playing time in nickel and dime packages.
between Pugh, Moore, Hankins, and Taylor

it sounds like our second year guys really came ready to play this year
Meh, it's camp. Let's not get too excited.
BeerFridge : 8/1/2014 2:07 pm : link
He's a good special teamer so that's good for him but he's probably 4th on the depth chart and Berhe is here too. He may not get a lot of opportunities unless Rolle or Brown get injured.
His competition is Demps...3rd safety spot.
Klaatu : 8/1/2014 2:09 pm : link

Maybe? It would be great if he's better than Demps.

obviously no point counting chickens at this point, but how cool would it be if this becomes one of those really solid draft classes.....
Does this answer your question?
Klaatu : 8/1/2014 2:26 pm : link
Not too sure better than Demps means great.
BlueLou : 8/1/2014 2:29 pm : link
Could be just "good" or "above average" nu?

holy shit! that is really cool
Demps has added value as a returner.
Klaatu : 8/1/2014 2:50 pm : link
But I don't think he's much of a safety...at least he didn't show much in KC. Now, whether they played him out of position is another story. Still, I like Taylor's chances of taking his spot. The only knock on Taylor is his durability. If he's healthy, I have no doubt he'll be productive.
there's a lot to like about him as a prospect

Probably a pipe dream but sure would be nice.
That is a pipe dream. Like the Will Hill kind...

Yeah......okay
Physically, they're very similar.
Klaatu : 8/1/2014 6:39 pm : link
Taylor is an inch taller, Chancellor's around four or five pounds heavier. Both were 5th round picks, Taylor #151 overall, Chancellor #133. Taylor may never be the player that Chancellor is, but if he turns out to be as good as Deon Grant was in that 3rd safety role, I'll be very happy.

I was referring to the 2 by 4 factor.
I think we had a good draft last year
SGMen : 8/2/2014 12:32 am : link
I mean, only time will tell but I feel pretty good. Our third year guys pretty much suck but maybe the last two drafts turn out well for us.

Yeah, Taylor may not ever be as violent a hitter as Kam Chancellor is (Chad Jones could have been...heavy sigh), but I'll settle for a kid who gets to the right spot quickly and makes the play when he gets there. Taylor could be that guy if he can stay healthy.
The "legend" of
Doomster : 8/2/2014 8:58 am : link
Cooper Taylor, is right up there with Kuhn....

Make plays? That would be great....still waiting for the first one....unless you count the blocked punt that bounced in his direction...then, I am waiting for number 2.....wait a minute, that doesn't sound right....
Yeah, because my post was all about the legend...
Klaatu : 8/2/2014 9:01 am : link
Not about the potential. Comprehend much? Probably. Distort much? Absolutely.

I think i might settle for a kid who becomes a violent hitter like Chancellor...
