It's predicated on the Rockies wanted to clean house, but I think it could work and fit three teams needs:
Mets get
1.Troy Tulowitzki SS (COL)
2.Daniel Nava OF (BOS)
3.Rex Brothers RP (COL)
4.Cristhian Adames INF (COL)
Red Sox get
1.Carlos Gonzalez OF (COL)
2.Jorge De La Rosa SP (COL)
3.Bartolo Colon SP (NYM)
4.Wilin Rosario C (COL)
Rockies get
1.Jackie Bradley Jr. OF (BOS)
2.Noah Syndergaard SP (NYM)
3.Blake Swihart C (BOS)
4.Jonathan Niese SP (NYM)
5.Wilmer Flores IF (NYM)
6.Ruben Tejada SS (NYM)
Boston is retooling, has a need at Catcher and Starting Pitching, they pick up two SPs in Colon and De La Rosa while maintaining payroll flexibility long term if they want to sign a big SP in addition; they also get a starting caliber catcher and a big left handed bat in a lineup made up of primarily right-handed hitters (sans big papi)
Rockies get a major outfield prospect, a top 3 pitching prospect, a top catching prospect, a controllable young SP, and two potentially starting caliber infielders. Plus major salary relief.
Mets get their franchise player, a platoon leftfielder in Nava, and a good lefty reliever.
Thoughts?
And I dont like the Mets giving away so much SP - Colon is fine, but Niese and Syndergaard on top of that?
Let's build around our young pitching. Not trade them for vets.
This trade isn't just a no. It's an aw hell no.
The point of my post, you missed it.
