Football is finally back...kind of. I know its only pre-season and the starters will not likely do much, but lay out your predicted score for the Sunday night game.
And to make it a little more interesting, give me the name of a Giant player that you think will impress and another that will disappoint.
I will go with 20-13 win for the Giants.
JPP impresses with a sack and strip fumble that the Giants convert into an easy TD.
Jernigan disappoints with a few drops, one in the end zone.
Dennard impresses. Brown does not.
Expected this, but not so soon. Well done.
NO INJURIES
Also, there will be some mistakes on offense and someone will start a "Was McAdoo the wrong hire?!" thread.
...best in class.
Top of the NFL.
(*This will generate a fresh round of bitching about Beckham being injured).
If things go really well in an exhibition that has no meaning other than practice, they're going to be SB contenders this season, no doubt.
All I want in this game is health. Just please stay healthy.
As clearly shown in the above, there is plenty of work to be done in that area as well...
Last year, the offense was terrible in preseason and it carried over to the regular season. They had to keep the first team offense in longer than usual in the last preseason game hoping that they would score.
Maybe there will be more rhyme and reason in a new offense, but history, for now, says none of us should worry too much about what they presume is quality play in the pre-season one way or another outside of player health.
I particularly like to see who is playing with least mistakes and winning on third down in the First Half.
The Second Half of mistakes made by many likely non-roster players many times decide the score which is not important.
The ones will take a few weeks to get going. Eli will throw an early pick and the tight ends won't be game ready.
Hoping to see the OL block and Kennard.
Hoping to see Nassib do well and a receiver besides Randle and Cruz do well.
