NFT: Anybody been to the Lincoln Square IMAX theater lately?

Thinking about heading in to the city to catch Guardians on the big screen. I've never been. Reviews? Commentary?

I see movies on it 5 or 6 times a year

It's the best theater in NYC with one caveat. You HAVE to sit in one of the last few rows. Last row or second to last row preferred. The screen is so massive it's the only way you can see the entire thing without constant head moving.

Luckily, the movie sells reserved seating so you can ensure you have those seats before hand.

Although it's probably too late. I usually buy them weeks in advance for opening weekend movies like this.

But I kinda like the other IMAX screens in Manhattan a little more just because of the picture quality, in spite of their lack of size.

Unless shot with actual IMAX camera like interstellar are a higher mm like 70.

You are actually getting better audio and big time more contrast seeing films that have been post converted to IMAX in the smaller IMAX theaters.

It is the only FULL size IMAX screen in Manhattan. The 2 others (34th st & Times Sq) boast a larger than standard screen but nowhere near as large as Logan Sq location. But they make up for it with really nice digital projection and killer sound systems.
