NFT: Can we talk about Guardians/Galaxy Post-Credits? SPOILERS!!!

Ben in Tampa : 8/1/2014 11:31 pm
I took the fiancé to Guardians of the Galaxy tonight. We both loved it, one of Marvel's best movies to date. If I was a 10 year old boy, I'd be OBSESSED with this movie, so I think they're going to make a shit load of money with this franchise. That being said, can we talk about the big return in the post credits scene?

Turn back if you don't want spoilers.

So if you sit through the credits, you find out that The Collector is not only hoarding Infinity Stones, but he's got Howard the Duck. The 1980s movie is probably legitimately the worst movie of all time, but the character is actually a Marvel comic super hero. Every character that's shown up in a Marvel post credit scene has become a major character in the cinematic universe. Is Howard the Duck actually going to be a part of Marvel Phase 3, or was this just a fun nod to Marvel fans?

One theory I've seen that made me laugh is that Marvel is just shaking it's dick at WB/DC. They can't get Wonder Woman off the ground and Marvel is relaunching Howard the Duck.
First off the movie was incredible!!

As far as Howard the duck.... Disney said to Lucas: listen to make this deal happen.... We'll give you 4 billion for Star Wars and to sweeten the pot we'll throw a Howard the Duck reference in a Marvel movie.

Chitauri, dark elf, in Thor post credits there is a cocoon, in the post credits for this one the cocoon has busted open...

Adam Warlock!
Is it worth the IMAX 3D experience?

I would say yes. I saw it in regular 3D and it was pretty great. The movie has some insane visual, I can imagine they'd look great on IMAX.
Howard the Duck is Marvels

The reason I ask is because there's a theater about five minutes away from me where I can see it in regular 3D for six bucks on Tuesday (all day special, every movie).

IMAX 3D is about 40 minutes away, and depending on the show time, the prices are $13.00, $16.25, or $18.00.

If you love 3D , then just go to the place by your house. I saw it in the standard version and it was great.
