NFT: Knee sprain

I sprained my ACL and PCL about 4 weeks ago playing basketball. It was mild to moderate and I definitely feel improvement from a few weeks ago. Don't have much problem lightly jogging or swimming but I can't really jump or kneel/squat with my right leg.

Has anyone had experience with this and know the time table for recovery? I'm about to start physical therapy in a week or two. I know it's gonna be a while before I can return to basketball but I want to know about when you can start weightlifting on it again.

Any other insight and tips would help to.
get going on your PT

asap and do the home exercises every day - not just when you see him/her. Then you can develop a timetable together based on severity/progress.
You should def be working on

building the surrounding muscles, specifically the quad and hammy.
