#Steelers RBs @LG_Blount @L_Bell26 to face charges on pot possession. Bell also to face DUI charge after getting picked up this PM in Ross.
I think a few have a threshold level that gives rise to a presumption (ala .08 for liquor), and others (I believe) require evidence of intoxication, eg slurred speech, driving behavior, FSTs.
If they played for Peyton or the Boston Celtics, this would be a non factor.
No effect on fantasy this year as Blount will get the goal line carries and Bell will be the feature back with no O line to speak of, draft at your own risk.
Prosecution will carry into 2015 so I think the real question here is what were they listening to?
Van Morrison, Stones, Floyd, Zeppelin, Tull? Or that stupid ass rap crap? Of course I could be wrong here and they was jammin to Garth Brooks...
is a reliable method for testing for intoxication. Short of a blood test, which isn't happening roadside, there's no positive way of knowing for sure. Additionally studies have found that just over a third of regular smokers (can't remember the studies definition of "regular", I think it was daily use) can pass the current roadside DUI coordination test when they are considered legally intoxicated . Which just raises more questions about what actually constitutes marijuana intoxication.
dunedin, is there a way to even test for pot intoxication? I assume all they have is the physical pot evidence to go on?
They administer a blood test. In Washington, if a driver has a level of 5 nanograms/mL THC or greater, he/she will face a DUI conviction. (see link)
That said, I'm sure the tests and levels will be refined in the years to come as it's studied more. I think Washington went with a "conservative" level to start to discourage DUI.
Also, blood tests for THC are different then urine tests. THC metabolizes in the blood rather quickly, yet a urine test can still be positive for it a couple weeks later:
that marijuana doesn't influence driving behavior, and maybe it doesn't. But I am perfectly coherent and in charge of my faculties after having 4 or 5 drinks, I still know not to drive.

People that contend that are idiots. I'm fairly certain studies have shown that it does influence your driving. The "problem" is there isn't an easily identifiable level that determines when you are "too" intoxicated to drive (though I'm guessing some people can drive with a BAC > 0.08 and not be impacted).
RE: its not about having enough money to get a driver

(sorry I'm really fuckin high right now
I doubt that there is a standard.

That said was this just possession or were they caught smoking too?

I think pot should be legalized. Lord knows we have bigger issues. Crap. Shoot up for all I care. But get behind the wheel u deserve to get arrested.
I'm pretty sure we can count on these two Mensa members to among the quickly broke ex NFL player crowd.
That should be the other shoe (or boot). They can't be arrested for violating a contract.
