Especially the points about the young WRs (Harris and Washington) and also Kiwanuka. Also interesting take on the OLine configurations and offense making strides. Link - ( New Window )
I am not sure how much they'll contribute during the regular season but they will both make the team. Expose either to the PS and you will lose them.
Now, having said that, I don't think you can go into the season with only two veterans (Cruz and Randle). Jernigan likely makes the team because of his experience.
they are trying possibly changing OL positions, at this stage of the game...
I realize they are checking the versatility of these players, but this OL needs a lot of work, together, as a unit...shuffling around in practice, can't be that helpful....
Eli getting upset about WR's route running? Uh, oh....
In practice, the offense is making strides? Doesn't appear to be translating to the playing field....
As I said before, this game against the Jets should give us some good insight into this offense......while the Jet secondary isn't that great, their front 7 is pretty good...they will runs schemes against our OL and test it.....we will see if Eli can get rid of the ball quickly.....can our backs protect Eli...this is the Giant's fourth game, and they will be playing their starters for the major part of the game....usually the fourth game is reserved for the castoffs to evaluate them......because of the schedule this year, the Giants have that extra exhibition game in hand, to get this offense ready....hope they take advantage of it....
Who else makes it if JJ doesn't? Parker? He has been around longer than Jernigan. I don't see Manningham or Holliday sticking around.
The DL will be interesting. I see nine D-lineman making it. So you could see JPP, Moore, Ayers, Kiwanuka, Wynn, Hankins, Jenkins, Bromley, and Kuhn, or instead of Wynn it will be Patterson. They can probably afford to stash Wynn on the PS though.
Justin Pugh played left tackle, Weston Richburg played left guard, J.D. Walton played center, Brandon Mosley played right guard and Geoff Schwartz was at right tackle.
I am all for it if it works, but if Beatty is really out, this is huge. A complete OL overhaul, with both tackles playing new spots this year.
I am really pulling for Will to make it back to 2012 performance levels. This O may take some time to gel. Here's hoping the D can hold things together the first few games while the O gets their act together.

Beatty is not out this Friday vs Jets but is rather only getting some 20 snaps I believe. They are working him back in slowly which is smart. My guess for opening day line-up right now is Beatty-Richburg-Walton-Schwartz-Pugh. I wold be worried about the left side a bit if Beatty was rusty but I don't think he'll be the problem. I look forward to seeing what happens on Friday night.
