Rex, Woody and the Clown Show had even the most mild-mannered Giant fan frothing in the mouth to see them get their comeuppance. Bradshaw running that guy over was icing on the cake.
Hard to believe how many of those players are not on the team anymore. Just from guys in the sideline shots: Diehl, Boothe, Baas, Snee, Jacobs, Ware, Bradshaw, Tuck, Ross, Grant, Phillips, Boley, Joseph, Canty...
by Reevis on the tackle...lol. Watched this game at a family get together. Three of my nieces married Jet fans. After talking much trash they spent the fourth quarter outside in the cold butthurt and near tears. Pretty much the way Jet fans always are.
Very sloppy game aside from the big plays on the Giants side. And damn Sanchez sucked. Dude checked down all game when he wasn't fumbling or throwing interceptions.
And with all of that, the Giants really didn't have the game in hand until about a minute to go. Not complaining, they got the win and went on a run from there.
savor this win a little more than the victory over 'Boys in the 07 playoffs. Mainly because of the arrogance from Rex, all the cockiness from Jet fans and how the local media ate it up by the spoonful (that Gary Myers article about how NY was a Jets town really got under my skin). The euphoria from that win wasnon the level of that look of disgust on Jerrah's face after the McQuarters INT. This inspired me to look up YouTube videos on that year's playoff run. I couldn't find that really good one that was about 45 minutes long. Did anyone download it by chance?
We came from behind and beat Dallas....the next week we lay a big fat egg in Washington......we are doing nothing in the Jet game, and then BAM, the 99 yard td to Cruz.....that was the play that really turned the season around for us, and got us on that streak....
I forgot how warm it was on DEC. 24th for that game....
regular season wins of all time. Ended the Jets and the Dream Team's season. It sucked that it was on Christmas Eve. It was nice being in a house full of Eagle fans.
Pure euphoria.
