him well. But he and Wynn are real long shots, absent injuries. The problem is that I'm not sure either would pass through waivers, or even if they did, last long on the PS.
in the Colts game, but he has potential and his attitude seems excellent. One of the most insightful interviews ever about the Giants' team values because it sounds completely unfiltered.
Doesn't seem that long ago people were convinced he was a lock
(minus dumb penalties) - hard worker, athletic - he will be cut and picked up by another team, won't make it to practice squad. Too bad - once Jenkins and Patterson are gone he could be useful
IMO he doesn't have a quick first step. When Bromley and he are in the game together playing DT, watch Bromley's 1st step vs. Quarles. Bromley is already engaging his man while Quarles is still straightening up.
He went undrafted. What has another team seen him do in the past three months that would suddenly make him worthy of a spot on their 53-man roster?
I agree. This is a case of people sticking with their pre-draft opinions of what the league thinks of these guys rather than adjusting it based on the fact that they went undrafted.
If he makes it to the practice squad bhe will be the first DT called if there is an injury - and DT is an injury prone position. I think he is competing with Kuhn and Patterson and not with Bromley.
Patterson will probably be gone next year and possibly Jenkins. He is with a good organization and will have a big opportunity next season.
Same thing with Wynn. They have both shown ability.
The Giants were his best opportunity after the draft (that's why he's here), and their practice squad will probably be his best opportunity in September.
It might take more than one injury to get him on the 53-man, though. The team could choose to go with four DTs and use the roster spot elsewhere if Jenkins, Patterson, Hankins, Kuhn or Bromley went down. They aren't likely to dress five anyway.
Talent is there...needs work...will not make it to PS>
Clearly the "many' who had him projected to rounds 3 or 4 did not include NFL general managers or he wouldn't've gone undrafted. So why should these same NFL general managers suddenly think he is worthy of their 53 man roster?
The defensive players that do not make our roster.......
