Third player this month announces retirement due to injury

David Wilson was the first, then DeVonte Holloman yesterday and now Steelers RB Isaac Redman has announced his retirement due to a neck injury.

Looks like Redman injured his neck two years ago, tried to play last year and wasn't the same. He visited a neck specialist over the offseason and, despite teams contact, told all he is retired because the doctor said he had suffered an injury to his spinal chord.

Seems like every year as the avg weight of all players continues to increase we get closer and closer to a catastrophic on field event involving the players. I remember watching Josh Cribbs get KOd on live TV and thought that returning should be banned from the sport.
