If you need it to store a bit, try marinating some oven roasted tomatoes instead of using fresh, as the fresh ones may cause the whole dish to get watery and that isn't good with wheatberries.

What makes "berry" fancier than "kernel"? It is just what it is called, much like rapeseed oil is called canola oil. I think the people who sell it just feel they are more marketable names.

Next, its anything you want to do, such as -toss with caramelized onions, pecans, and a little pancetta and serve as a side.
