Unfuckingbelievable. They can't even get goddamn preseason streaming right. For the biggest league in the country they are the fucking WORST at providing the product online.
is the vastly superior streaming products put out by other leagues. The NHL is better than the NFL in this regard, and neither comes anywhere close to the incredibly high quality streaming product that is MLB.TV
...it's awful...the fan / consumer is always taken advantage of. "Connection Error"!!! It's just wears you out - that's what they're hoping for. Stay strong.
Back in the day before NFL preseason by NFL.com and directv and the Sunday Ticket you could get NFL football with a large satellite dish.
If the game was played away from New York you could get the games being uplinked from the stadium back to New York before it went out over the network feed. That meant no commercials.
If the game was played in New Jersey and it was on CBS or WPIX you could still get the game but with commercials. This was because the feed went direct from Giants Stadium to the New York studios by cable and not via satellite. But you still got the CBS network satellite feed and the WPIX feed to the Giants preseason network. And of course if say they were playing Carolina you could get their satellite feed. This was all before Fox got the rights to NFC games.
The only time you were screwed was when the Jets did the telecast on WOR and only shown locally and there was no other feed on satellite. So u missed one game a year.
And quality while not high def was better than this charade of a feed from the NFL preseason. Besides losing the signal when Swartz got injured until start of 2nd half (thus missed 2 minute drill and TD) the signal was constantly buffering and starting and stopping.
RE: Somebody on the game thread said it cost them $11
If you used the promo code "directv", it was only $11.
Turns out, they had an "outage" according to their Twitter. I was pissed, hosting a party for friends to watch the game and being out of luck for basically an hour.
I submitted my request for a full refund this morning.
That said, you can watch a particular game as often as you want for a few days thereafter WITHOUT commercials..Because the screen goes idle during each commercial, I decided, screw it, I'll watch for the first time when replay becomes available

I hate that. I re-watch games like the '90 championship game, the Super Bowls, some other random games, but I am not going to wait and re-watch Giants-Jets pre-season on my computer when the only reason I paid the subscription in the first place was for that game.
If I was going to do what you said BB '56 I could just DVR it on NFL Network.
here - ( New Window )
Let me know how that goes, if you succeed I'm doing the same.
too I connect and all I get is a circle of dots
It again. I knew something was wrong when I got
the commercials
I lost it again. I get it back to see the Jets score.I missed every one of the Giants TD
I got it back again and finally saw a Giant TD
