If you have an i5 that was purchase after September 2012 and are experiencing your battery having to be recharged more frequently
Apple as of yesterday is replacing the batteries for free. You google it and you enter your serial number on a form and it let's you know if you are eligible. I am and hope this proves helpful to others
I'm hoping they just give me a new phone because the button on the top of my phone doesn't work either. I haven't turned off my phone in about a year because I can't.

They have a recall on the top button as well. My phone qualified but I haven't had an issue so I didn't turn my phone in.
Thanks!!!
It's all out of whack.
Arc, I had those same problems. Drove me crazy and felt like I could never rely on it staying alive if I took it off the charger.
I did that, so hopefully when I go this week they'll have them. I'll be pissed if I go all the way there and they tell me they don't have them. I guess I can call before hand.

It's weird because for most of my time having this phone (I got it like the week after Sandy, so.. I guess November-ish of 2012.. ) I always got really good battery life out of it. But these last couple of months, it just suddenly got really bad. And I'm savvy enough to know what types of things drain the battery, how to conserve it, etc. Nothing has worked. It just drains very fast to the point where I can go out with people with a 100% battery and the thing is dead halfway into being out. I literally have to bring my charger everywhere I go now which I never used to have to do.
