The Glove- Next Big Performance Enhancer

BigBlueDownTheShore : 8/24/2014 12:16 pm
Heard this from a former coach speaking about Stanford players are going to be using this between series this year. Really incredible and should eliminate all steroid use in professional sports once it goes commercial.

Dep any insight on this?

It cools your entire body down

In 2 1/2 minutes without emercing your entire body in a cold tube. So you would a set of 10 use the glove and be able to do the next set of 10 with no fatigue. Continue the workout like that.
If true

This is going to change the world. I'm serious. It would have an impact not just on sports but healthcare and other fields.

I just started working out again and the biggest issue is soreness and quick fatigue.
I would buy this tomorrow if it was available.

Why wouldn't simply holding ice or an ice pack in your hands work just as we'll?

The hand that act like a natural HVAC for the human body. The glove i used as a vacuum to gain better access to those specific veins/arteries that you otherwise cannot gain access too by just putting ice on your palms. Indoing so it cools down the blood stream and all internal organs within minutes which helps muscles regain their prework out state.

Just holding ice would constrict the blood vessels which reduces blood flow. The vacuum keeps those vessels open.

This isn't new. The article is from 2012.

I hadn't heard anything about it until I heard it in the Radio the other day. Makes you wonder if that is why Stanford is always Oregons cryptonite. Can't wear down a defense when the other team is back at 100 after each series.
it'd be nice

if those who are wondering how this is different than existing techniques would actually...you know...read the article.

but not vasoconstrict. Appears that can be done. It is just a balance that from experience you van do without the need of a glove.

If fatigue is related more to body over temperature than anything else, then you could cool down your players on the sidelines and essentially have "fresh legs" for the entire game.

I imagine this would have a most pronounced effect on the really big guys like O-linemen.
