No link, saw it on espn. Still expected to go week 1 though
I am a huge fan of cam but this is shaping up as a rough year with all the extenuating circumstances. Offseason ankle surgery, depleted at wr where they werent strong to begin with (though ive heard good thinks about the fsu rookie). Now throw in this rib issue. He needed this camp with all their new recievers, and the ankle and rib have made it almost a lost camp
As I said, theories abound on this, but "at the end of the day" there's nothing that this fan can sink his teeth into..
Broken bones, ACLs, etc., can happen and have happened at any given time..But I've never seen, for example, the plethora of Hammy pulls that I have seen the last few years compared to the not so distant past.
Perhaps, with the escalation of social media and as it happens reporting, it's just a question of knowing more, being better informed, than we used to be; that we simply didn't know what the extents were as we do today..Perhaps not..I just have little clue
Recently in the nba for instance, there was this perception that acl tears were way up after a few very high profile guys suffered them. Then I read a study someplace that basically compiled every reported acl injury over the last 25 years and pretty clearly showed that wasnt the case

The most logical/reasonable explanation I've heard is that athletes are starting to exceed their body's physical limits. With the advances in training that result in 300+ pound guys who run 5-something 40s, the strains on joints, tendons, etc. has to be overwhelming.
Combine that with the incredible exertion and sudden movements required and injuries become almost inevitable. Note that I haven't included contact here, which adds yet another layer of risk.
NFL says concussions, ACL injuries decreased - ( New Window )

Yeah, that's why i capitalized Apparent, as I just don't know
That offense is going to be terrible - it's just going to be Cam running around hoping guys get open and then scrambling. The front 7 is still great, but not good enough to carry the rest of the team.
